the best of times. Goodbye.

I now announce my retirement from developing graalonline servers.

I'll quit most of graal, maybe check in once everynow and then, but that's about it.

The reason for this is because. I simply don't have the time anymore, I've a future to think about.

I'm facing bad grades, a military trial in a few mounths I'm way off shape for. I need to keep my head in school, and my body in the gym. On top of that I've to get my driverslicence and I've a instant courseprogram already booked in, which costs. alot. So I've to take more shifts at work aswell.

I would like to thank so many people for my wonderful time here, I don't want to write a "special thanks list" I wouldn't know where to begin. But all of you that have made my skipping school days a good time. Thank you, you know who you are!

I've realized something quite important, Even how much we want Graal to be a part of reallife it isn't. Graalonline is just a game, and it's hard to take in, but it is. I know I can't throw my life away over some game. I believe it's not only me that feels like this, if you want to be something. You've to act, you've to pay attention in school, instead of making levels for appriciation at graalonline. Life is nothing like graalonline, you can't grab walls for instance. :)

I've something to say to a few staffmembers aswell.

Ol' West
Tig & Mag. Keep digging, keep searching keep working. The server will be finished and I know it. Because with a management like you guys it just can't fail. Don't give up hope yet.

Providence
Karn & Zew. Thank you guys. I really appriciated our times on the rc, making jokes about eachothers moms, having sex conversations. Talking about movies, etc etc. For all that thank you.

And I'll still remain as a host for Providence, aslong as you need me. I won't interfear with any of the work being done. And I'll upgrade in the summer when my developer gold runs out. Keep working, keep digging. Providence to shall see the light.

To all others

Thank you so much, this have been a wonderful experience for me.
Like I said earlier I might check in now and then, but not like I used to. Maybe like 2-3 times a mounth.

Don't be a fool stay in school!

Graal should only be something you do in your spare time. Everything else in your life should always come first, especially school, work, family, and friends.

Good luck, hope all goes well for you.

Aww, only got to know you recently, but it was cool time :) Good luck with all the jazz you got too do,

I feel the exact same way, developing/playing Graal screwed up my concentration so bad, my grades slipped alot. And now that I'm 16 my mom won't let me get my permit or a job because my grades are so low. Thats why I quit Graal along time ago, but the thing is if you really want to quit stay off these forums, trust me, everytime a good update comes out it sucks me right back in...

Nice message, much of what you said is very true and people need to think about it.

Aww... I never got to know you ;(

Bye! I dont really have much problem with Graaling and schoolwork myself.. But oh well im only 13 (14 in 20th)

Laek2007 01-05-2008 05:37 PM

Thank you guys.

Pimmeh 01-05-2008 06:03 PM

Sorry Laek, I dont believe a bit of it.
You will come back if you will keep paying and stuff.
You just...dont need to see it as something that swallows your free time.
I am on my computer a lot, but I ALWAYS let friends and family come first.
Just...Dont be no-life.

But, see you later! :)

ChrizP2P 01-05-2008 06:21 PM

Pimmeh sums it up really..and Darlene.

If Graal starts consuming your life, quit as soon as you can!

For me, developing levels and playing is something I enjoy in my spare time, something that I do when i'm bored. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, I go to college 3 times a week, I worked 1-2 times a week. I play sport a few hours a week.

It doesn't leave much time for Graal, but atleast it isn't consuming my life.

I wish you good luck anyway.

alot of these people are right, i play graal alot, but thats on the nights i dont have hockey or im not helping my mom with her horses, during the winter she doesnt go to the Racetrack because it is too cold for horses and they are staying at another barn, once i am old enough to get a job this game will be a 1-2 day a week game. and i am being more active so i dont really go on here other than to talk to some friends ive made along the way.

Pimmeh 01-06-2008 02:33 AM

I think not, Knightmare. You see, I have too been playing since I was 12. It has grown on me, really did! I dont play anymore, I just chill out and develop stuff.
I only play to check things out. THe highest thing I ever reached was...level 15 on Zodiac (or 18 cant recall) and level 12 on GK. Highest! Ever!
But I am still here, ain't I?
