Elk's Concept Art
1 Attachment(s)
Done in 2 Nights , aprox 10 hours
just a HB pencil "i think", it was some cheap pencil i found somewhere the scanner (as always) scanned it too light so lots of colortones are lost (there are very smooth lines at the edge of the blade that you cant see anymore now...) I drew it on a A4 paper, 120 gram it's a concept art of a pixelsword that I and Shakram made for Zodiac. yea, as i said...my pencil drawings always lose quality if i scan them, need to get a better scanner i think <.< http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/7...lipsessda4.jpg |
So... hot
|
it looks weird but well made.
|
Simply amazing
|
Hot damn Elk, wish the pixel version of it had all the detail of the concept art though.
|
Godly, Elk!
....Need a better job?:p Seriously, really amazing. |
Wow amazing once again Elk. Isnt that the Eclipse Blade on Zodiac but its Red the blade instead of Green?
|
I'd hit that

Why do you rape me so hard in every aspect? :(
It's just simply amazing |
The drawing quality is excellent, yet I dont like the Sword, seems odd.. too short to be a sword, to broad to be a dagger. What is it? :)
|
Very well made ;)

"Your" concept looks like something I've seen before but I can't think of where, maybe it's just how common these designs are. The sword isn't exactly a good representation of the concept art either, it could have been so much better. Your concept design feels much more mythological to me, but your design seems modern, even futuristic and that is probably due to the lime.

Dude, lul. That scan is awful - why would you work for ten hours on something and then scan it in like a newb. Secondly, I can't believe you spent 10 hours on that - it's really not that great. x_x

It may have been less hours, I was a bit drunk when I drew that aswell. I just remember I've worked on it till 4-5 AM at night o.O Quote:
The concept art was never meant to represent the pixelsword, it's the opposite :) the concept art is to represent the pixelsword, since I used the pixelsword as reference to draw the concept lol. Also Rufus, no need to be sceptical just because I wont gfx for Graal 2k1. My Concept pls: A WIP http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/5...asketchlj7.jpg |

When looking at the pixel version, I feel as though it is a lot more stiff than the concept, and it doesn't really do itself any justice. The jewel area seems to be a lot more pivotal in the concept, and a lot more alive; I personally feel that is where it is most attractive, and it seems to be brushed off. I think the choice of colors, especially the lime (and possible other recolors, I've seen some) aren't fitting, but that's really up to you, it's your sword. Did you give it a name by the way? |
Eclipse Blade, we decided that on Zodiac RC
|
the drawing is so much better than the pixel version.
|
Blah, the concept is just so typical that any detail you put into it is really quite pointless. And then to boot - the scan... I dunno if your scanner sucks or if you just don't know how to scan well x_x... your photo looks a lot better, but it doesn't look like the completed version.
That drawing of a attic or house from a few months back was much more impressive than this thing. |
I like it, the pixel version could have been so damn nice if it was done properly D: And whoever made it had a good concept to draw from in the start, seems slightly rushed and stiff like said above.

lulling @ your unsigned negative reps. Classy :fro:
|
Are you talking to me? I didn't rep you netavie o.o
you gave criticm |
Um.
I like the concept art, but that pixel art is possibly ****tier then anything i've looked at in my life that isn't already on zodiac. |
Got to love high detailed versons of the graal gfx's.
Looks pretty neat man. |
