This New Xmas Pack...

So I'm hearing a lot of talk about it, complaints mostly... Heres an example of which I heard the most:
"The weapons only last for 90 days?! Thats bull!"

So? You paid for Graal Time. These were just a bonus, heres an example. You work 5 hours, your boss says, "Its Xmas Time!" And gives you 3 extra hours for no reason. Then you whine and complain at him that 3 extra hours for no reason isn't good enough. ;) So stop whining babies.

Thats the base answer for all complaints anyone makes about the items ;). Except those complaining that they are to powerful... Really, ignore it their only here for 3 months and whoever else buys them with Gelets. And those people who pay money for the game should be rewarded. They keep the game going for those who don't pay :P.

*Doesn't think this thread breaks any rules... I guess we'll see lol.*

I'll say Amen x2 for SN and me

i really dont care about xmas items being 3 months. the only thing that really needs to be permanent are things that have required skill (event weapons) and in-game bought weapons.

cbk1994 12-27-2007 06:21 AM

People shouldn't get bonuses for paying extra money, which is really what the gelat system is.

In any case people knew they wouldn't last forever, and if they didn't, too bad for them.

Quoted for Truth.

They knew people were going to think the weapons would last forever. They took advantage of Zone's stupidity.

I am agreeing with az on this one personally they should have stated it

If Event Weapons were perm we wouldn't be able to host them off as often.

Tom 12-28-2007 06:35 PM

When you bought the items, did it say before you bought them that it only lasts a few months?

xAzerothx 12-28-2007 06:40 PM

When you bought the christmas pack it didn't say it would last forever or that it would last a few months.

True, but at the same time, Graal shouldn't have us renting in-game items. It's been said before, this is not the kind of game that needs this much money spent on it. We need real reasons to pay, not "90 days of sloppy pixels".

cbk1994 12-28-2007 07:47 PM

I agree with the way servers are rented. I know that it is not easy for them to mantain all of their GraalOnline servers, and if they let people have their own server like they used to, they would be out of business in no time.

However, I don't like the idea of players paying more so that they can get advantages over others. I'm fine with things like an aura, or a special set of heads/bodies/whatever, but things like mini-size, larger-size, and partial invisibility shouldn't be used.

I think personally they should make a subscription for $5 a month that includes an aura of their choice, a large set of bodies and heads that only they can use, maybe a special section in the forums, even a special guild tag (like VIP, only that is actually used).

Just tiny things like this that affect how they look, but not how well they play the game.

Just my 85 cents.

^- I'll say "amen" to that. lol. Anyways, you guys could have not tried to be the first ones with the items, and waited a hour or 2 to hear what people said about them. It's ya'lls own fault (for those that upgraded) if you didnt know how the items would be managed. (take a look at EVERY item now, they only last for a few months. Minus class weapons.)

It's just Stefan/Unix trying to make money. And looks like its working. If you guys really want to have **** fixed, stop buying gelats. Go on "strike". Stop just complaining about it, and do something. You guys go on and on about how you hate "gelats" and things like that, and then turn around and by them. So of course Stefan isn't going to listen to your complaints, because in the end he's still getting your money.

Like a Call in the Darkness, that leads you to the right path.

In other words, I agree with you. Although in Theory a Strike is easier, in reality, it will be difficult, with only a few people Striking.

xAzerothx 12-29-2007 08:39 PM

Even if the people who are complaining go on strike Stefan and Unixmad don't care. If there's still people buying gelats and they're still making money they won't do anything.

There's no law against that, but physically demanding jobs earn you money too

That is a real reason to pay.

Since when do you define what is and isn't a reason to pay? That's unixmad's decision, not yours.

Since it's the money coming out of his pocket? xP

He didn't invent the game or the idea. It's not up to him to choose what is worth paying for and what isn't.

It's up for him to decide if he wants to pay for it, however.

Wrong.

If he decides the gelat packs are a total rip-off and totally not worth it, then it IS up to him to choose whether it's worth paying for. Personally, you won't see me buying any gelat packs any time soon.

In any case, I like how they extended subscriptions to the gelat system, though I can only imagine they'll lose money.
