Dev Zibou, New but MODERN!
 

Yep, dev zibou was a little crappy in the start because we didnt know what to do, but now we figured it out! GO MODERN!
We (Zibou and Staff members) are currently hiring because were stinking now.
we have a good GFXer and he helps us allot with the tileset (Thx angel :D)

but we dont have really good modern NATS
so we currently Hiring: NATS and GATS
So please, if you are good at Modern NAT (Guns/Apartments/GUIs/ATMs) Come To Dev Zibou!
and please, if you are good at Modern GAT (Guns/Movement/Dances/(TV?) or anything else thats modern also come to Dev Zibou!

Honestly... what does your server pose which stands out from the rest of all these other modern servers?

Sorry to say it but your not going to get any help this way. There are many Playerworlds like this. Before you can get good staff you need to atleast have a good headstart in development, or some sort of mind blowing idea for the server that just has to be done.

Right now, plan it. Get a couple "Thinkers" to think up ideas for the server.
And try something new. I hate all these playerworlds saying "We're modern and we're better than Era just because we are modern and update!" (Quote of Utopia, but played with the words a bit)

Thanks for passing on my timeline :) I'm kind of glad it didn't just die in the original thread.

Anyways, I suggest first coming up with good, solid ideas. And when I say ideas, I don't just mean knowing you're gonna do a modern server. Write a lot, plan, contemplate, boggle yourself... approach it like you're designing a real game. When you get a solid base down which you can build your server, make friends. Why make friends? Because, you can rely on friends a lot more than you can staff you've never met. You don't have to hire your friends, but I'm sure if you get a good list of friends, you'll at least be able to get far enough in the initial development to impress people with your ideas and get some staff. From there on out, hope you don't fall prey to the truth of my timeline.

Also, modern servers can succeed. You just have to treat it like your own server instead of one that's like Era, but better. A clone, better Era isn't exactly a good server, because people want something new. The biggest problems modern servers in the making have is working off of a base of Era. Graphics are without a doubt similar, or even stolen from Era. Concepts are the same, the systems are the same, jobs are the same... it just looks the same. I've messed around and came up with a least five different styles of modern tilesets, none which look at all like Era, it's not that hard... That's all the advice I can give for that.

BTW you messed up "Hiring" with "Planning" for some servers. make it Hiring/Planning :P

Why did suddenly servers start focus on being better then other UC servers, that are barely mediocre in the first place? What happened to "better then era"?

Exactly my thought. Well, not exactly:
"I love it when those servers have fights amongst themselves."
It can only harm the development, and thus make Graal a better place for us :)

The problem is, although we might be making fun of Dev Zibou right now, this could actually end up a hit.

It's less likely though, because of the fact that they are more focused on being better then Utopia, rater the best ever.

It kind of scares me and makes me wonder if I'm wasting my time doing something original when I can re-make Era but have a Gang GUI unlike Era and be best graal server ever without going public.

Nah because most graal servers have 11 year old owners who think their staff team wont quit so they try to plan with them instead of plan themselves
