idea

i had a brainwave bless me.

well was thinking about class skills/points or example

10 kills with commndo class gets you 1 class point for commando
10 class points with commando gets a commando skill called "commndo roll" which is a basic roll in any direction

50/100 CPs would get more advanced skills, which would proberly suite the main weapon for that class.

i would like feedback/ideas on this :)

Crono 11-07-2007 01:21 AM

...why?

Frieza 11-07-2007 01:22 AM

something to work at.

Tracker180 11-07-2007 01:36 AM

pretty good, it's just that the classes don't really have many "skills" to get :/

well think of some XD speed bursts jumps spins rools, sabre/sword rush evergy boosts, to name a few ideas

UnknownMasterMind 11-07-2007 02:15 AM

I like the thought, but how would you push to use them, or how would you use them?

Tracker180 11-07-2007 02:18 AM

uhh i guess they could be set to buttons permanently or set them yourself

kia345 11-07-2007 02:54 AM

Skills? Muramasa throw. Yes.

Dante55555 11-07-2007 03:17 AM

No.

Nefir 11-07-2007 03:59 AM

Well that is a good idea but what about other classes? Anyways maybe we could just like make those points some kind of EPs in a way so that you can buy "prizes" but maybe adding more power or guns and stuff like that but I would like rolling everywhere but there should be a limit to the rolls... Try making 100 rolls in a row without being dizzy IRL

Ravenblade1979 11-07-2007 07:27 AM

actually this is a good idea. I think though we could extend it to where you have a list of skills you can purchase for say combat roll could cost 75 skill points to purchase but you wouldn't be allowed to have anything equipped but a combat knife while doing the roll.

TO further show...medic could get a more powerful healing ability that maybe affects a small area but limit the use to like once every say 15 minutes.

With every rank you make you could get 1 free skill but not powerful ones..like the weaker ones.

LOL Then I want the beam thing on gwars as a skill :o, LET THE FORCE BE WITH YOU...

anubis_wing 11-07-2007 11:44 AM

Sorry, but no, the beam would literally destroy Iricia with lag. Imagine 40 people using it at once, total destruction.
I think only melee weapons should get skills, it's hard to get skill with guns (other then better accuracy but you can't really add that to a game like this) but melee weapons, I can see that.

I like the idea of Melee Skills, but do you mean? As in for example the ability, to throw your sword at a short distance, and it comes back to you? Or you mean, like Steve said, about rolling?

Frieza 11-07-2007 03:07 PM

maybe shooting sidewards could be a bought skill for guns ( like scifi but ith all weapons.
i had a brainwave again.

if you get the class points, lets say 10=roll

you buy rool and allocate it to a weapon, and you can buy it over and over. and allocate the skill to different weapons

so fo 50 sapper points you could throw your sabre, but you would have to get 50 LI points for muramasa throw. or you just alocate "throw" skill to whatever.

maybe for fun you could throw your guns, like throw 1 appirce doing 30 dmg if hits, like for a fun little joke :D
