So we got ourselves an island...
 
...which functions just as good as a kingdom island in battle-mode.
Fixed speed level, fixed damage, etc. I was looking forward to a island where I could actually make use for my 50 physical levels and gear but instead we get a new spar arena with excessive terrain basically.

What's even better is that you could craft various cool items. Keyword being the one in bold. Apparently someone had whined and got all these cool items removed from the craft list (inferno sword and black mail among others). Epic lol. Here new players had a shot at getting some cool items that they are probably drooling and dreaming about having in their inventory (literally). Way to go!

Way to ruin a new player's chance of getting a half decent item. If they got the chance of getting a half decent item maybe they would stick around for a bit longer. Even if it was just one item they could choose to craft.

Yes although we have a new island there are no real items. Can you blame him. I think he was more looking out for people who had the items and their rarity. God forbid if he had an ulterior motive. That would have been selfish.

I didn't see the problem with the items..although a few I must confess I was only experiment with on debug..didn't mean to release their names.

there should be no speed cap or ac cap I thought this was going to be a island for stronger players not noobs and whats the deal with the monsters not giving exp

Same thing with some of the demons.

The mob of enemeys near the stairway is actually too large.
True, it should be difficult to enter, but it is a bit too difficult to enter the stairway.
I would suggest eliminating some of the enemeys or making them not respawn as quickly.
Save the main trainign place for in the stairway

Note to all: Don't hate Felix please. I think he was more trying to look out for the rarity of items then anything. If he had an ulterior motive then it was selfish of him. But I do promise I will sit down with stefan and get a list together of acceptable crafting items.

I agree with Felix.More things should be craftable.
Whats the best craftable item?Diamond blade?That thing isnt even that good(Although half-decent)

The reason they're drooling and dreaming about having them in their inventory is because they don't have them. You don't keep people playing by making the game easy. You keep people playing by making it hard.

By that, I dont mean making Even Items craftable, I mean making BETTER items craftable.Making some new weapons in which are craftable arent a bad idea.
How would we get past event items though?We need some stuff called QUESTS >_<

To simplify what I said:Make better craftable items,Make the past event items obtained via quests.
This would make things a bit more fair because crafting will have a purpose and players who are a bit newer to Graal Kingdoms can still get items they missed out on.

I've played Zodiac since it went classic and I haven't had a hard time getting items before or after the reset. It's all about rolling the right class.

I played zodiac ever since the RPG system was made and black crystal sword was the best weapon.
Back then, there was points, and NOT classes.
Then, if you reset, there were classes which were your started class.
I was one out of 3 rogues on the server, and I was the best rogue on the server along with 3rd strongest.At one point, I was the strongest untill the staff nerfed rogues and nuked me from level 54 to 32 because I couldent get hit =P

Trust me, items are not that easy to get.However, every item is obtainable UNLIKE in GK

The top armour with preferential stats for each class is quite rarer. Probably rarer than most of the desired items on 2K2 in comparison to the server's size.

Ya you do. Just not to hard till where its impossible. If everything was to ez. People would run around in b mode 1 hitting everyone. If it was too hard people would quit.Its a matter of balance.

Don't make it to hard level/phy wise. Make it like mental hard, make people think about it when they go to sleep! If the quest are all level/phy wise, then low level/noobs can't realy do anything.

Nah, i don't see that much. Then again i don't play alot.:l Gk has some pretty decent nice people. As zone and zodiac on the other hand. Average iq of a zonian = Negatives.

Anyhow. Why no good craftables.;-;

I suggest craftable items with fairly good stats, i just don't like the fact that people will have worked hard to get an Inferno Sword and all that work was for nothing because the whole server has one.

Yes it might be unfair to those that did but can you tell me exactly how many people still play who have inferno swords? I think I may have seen 2 or 3 people with them at most. I would have to work my butt off now just to get an inferno sword, ice dagger, blackmail etc. People had a shot at getting a few items....maybe it would have brought interest back to the server finally.

Again whats done is done. Nothing can be done to reverse it. Felix can be happy that his Inferno Sword (if he has one) is still worth more then most people can afford.

You don't, that's the point, you should have to "work" hard to get one, although Felix doesn't give much of a good reason for why this should be the case.

When you drastically devalue an item, you're destroying value within the economy. The people with Inferno Sword can use it to buy things with it if they so desire, if the item is drastically devalued, two things happen:

1. Some people become poorer.

2. Nobody becomes richer.

In other words, when you destroy value in the economy by drastically devaluing items, there's less value to go around and that means everything you didn't devalue becomes harder to get.

Ok, the only way i can see rares ever being craftable or made obtainable, w/o having to waste literal months doing repetive tasks which, in the end, will not guarantee you the item anyway, would be to create/have higher level islands which have level restrictions or require tasks to access the island. Withing those islands would be the anvils to craft rare items, and the items required would be rare drops from new monsters.

This system would: create new monsters, which would stop people crying about that; Create more choices of levelling and make it easier to level (not needing hundreds of brutal maps); Keep the craftable items still rare for quite a long time, infact, depending on the chance of drop and the actual pieces required to craft the item, those items could stay rare for months to come.

As far as i can see, this would be the only way to fix this problem, and others at the same time. Seriously, this will keep being an issue forever since whatever items you try and mass release, there will always be losers...

I agree, thats actually the only way games can succeed.
Except for items which are given out in a very special event, like certain wands, which are only obtainable , w/o buying from players, at the time.
