Parties fixed + New Party code

We have fixed the party commands, so now the name doesn't need to be lower case and you can use the commands /party leave, /party who etc. When you form a party then it is automatically joining you to the party.

Also the parties now calculate the exp gain differently. There is no level cap right now, the exp is based on each players level divided by the number of players in the party. We might need to change the experience gain for low level players though.

Does your party all have to be in the same kind of area for them all t get exp./ Or can one be like lord hunting all the way W on main island while other person is all the way E killing lords and both get exp?

Right now both players must be on the same map, can eventually also add a distance check.

ah shame, skills dont count as exp??

ViperZakuto 10-15-2007 10:21 PM

skills? what do you mean?

kia345 10-15-2007 10:23 PM

He probably means using a skill like disarm traps to level agility.

Did you fix the bug where a person could kill a monster with magic and the exp would go to the other party members as phys exp rather than magic exp so long as they were holding weapons?

Admins 10-16-2007 12:03 AM

Well giving magic experience wouldn't be good either

The problem is when there's a large disjoint between the magic and phys level of the player. Though it could be okay if exp is being adjusted for level properly so long as you don't have mental exp being converted into phys/magic/wis exp or something.

Is it just me, or did the player count go up when we got the party system back?

I'd say yes because when they took away the party system it was boring and harder to level alone.

Mental, personality, agility exp never worked with partying. So, I figure why would he add it? I Tested this on the old party system.

also I've been showing some newer players how to play the game as a faq... that might be helping also. I seen tig on a good bit.
