Was bored today and decided to make a new piece of art, part of my practice really, im just a newb at digital art but hey its a start, I guess..
And I want to get into it. Critism appreciated :D

I really like this one. The light effect is very nice. But first off. Where is he?Is he like in a forest dome?

and yeah I wanted him to be in a fully covered forest with only one or two light flashes through the leaves and trees, but it sorta looks more like a cave tunnel now though ;)

I'm also working with photoshop and illustrator on my new school and willing to make it into my profession after all
still alot to learn eh :noob:

A word of advice, for old times..

When you're working with pixel art, please, stay away from tools such as spray can and predefined effects. Work with 2-5 shades of each color, depending on what you're gfxing.

i use nothing but paint for pixel work really
brushes turn put ugly after all with small images
I only use brushes for concept art
with corel painter XI and photoshop cs2

How do you make digital concept art like that??

Get a bachelor's from a reputable school or preferably a master's if you hope to make a decent living. Looks nice, btw. Reminds me of a M:TG card (style-wise) I can't remember the name of at the moment.
