House Frames

Shouldn't frames of houses decay after about a year? I'm tired of walking past the same frame of houses all the time, and not even people with house-moving rights can move them out of the way. Can't you make it to where they rot and go away after awhile?

cyan3 09-24-2007 12:37 AM

Agreed, ive made many thread's about this because they make kingdom islands look messy.

grawlgamer 09-24-2007 12:42 AM

I've been thinking about buying like 5456754 house kits to build the houses just so they can rot away

Googi 09-24-2007 01:03 AM

I've been told that they do rot away, though it seems to take a very long time.

grawlgamer 09-24-2007 01:05 AM

emphasis on very.

Ravenblade1979 09-24-2007 01:19 AM

I say give them a time limit of a few weeks that way its made sure that its built.

grawlgamer 09-24-2007 01:23 AM

how about every time they put a few more materials in it, the time restarts, as to make sure that someone who is actually working on it doesn't lose it in the middle of their work?

MajinDragon 09-24-2007 04:56 PM

I'd like house insurance before i quit

Then that defeats the purpose. These things literally are littering some of the kingdoms islands. I say if you can't build it in X amount of time don't bother having one in the first place.

Actually Geico does cover houses. The Geko said so. But yea, house frames suck. A month is long enough to build a house.

Ravenblade1979 09-26-2007 07:50 PM

A month is too long. I would say a few weeks. If you really worked at it you could build it in a week.

ViperZakuto 10-09-2007 08:43 AM

It took me 4 hours to build a house a 1.5 speed. Thats mining barehanded until i got enough iron for a pick also. =D

kia345 10-09-2007 12:36 PM

It spanned me over two months. Mind you that's at 2.5 speed with a pick. I, like a lot of people, just procrastinate.

Ravenblade1979 10-10-2007 04:23 PM

I still think a few weeks is long enough. Its not like your fingers are broken.

you must be really LAZY. I did it in 4 hours, at 1.5 speed. It doesn't take but 2 hours to mine the items. about 30 mins to turn iron into nails. about 1 hour to dig tree seeds and turn them into logs then boards. and about 30 mins to build the house.

so why should this take two weeks?

I think they should disappear after 3 days in my opinion.

Thats too little. Think about it, what if you start to build a house. Then something IRL comes up and you miss 3-5 days of graal for whatever reason. This would result in your house being gone. People DO have problems/things to straighten out IRL from time to time. At least give the frames of houses 2-3 weeks before they start to die. That would then leave the person enough time to get on and put a little work into it to reset the timer before it rots again. (That is IF there was a timer to it for the 2-3 week span.)

My opinion, if you don't have the time to build a house... Don't start it in the first place!

I agree but I think 2-3 weeks should be long enough. Stuff can come up irl that sometimes can't be avoided.

Tell me you never have had an emergency? What if your mother gets sick and is hospitalized and you don't have time to do it for another couple of weeks?

Agreed, if your mother gets sick Graal will be the last thing on your mind, so it won't matter if you lost your house frame.
