Events Master/Events Team website
 

Not sure if this is the right place to put this topic..hopefully someone will move it.

But I had the idea that us Events Master/Events Team should all get together and have one centralized website where we can list first and foremost a list of Events Masters/Events Team for each server.

A list of all events on the different servers.

A schedule of when we are usually on (this is a maybe)

Maybe post any schedule for events we would like to do

Make postings of any huge events.

Make a listing of any rules we have for different events.

I am suggesting this mostly so players will have one site that they could goto to view if any events are going on so if they are interested they can just log onto the server of their choice (if they have the right subscription) and go play the event.

Thoughts?

Standard playerworld events are not usually scheduled. An Events Team Member hosts when he/she is on and players want events. Usually only tournaments are scheduled.

I partially agree, and wish more community based things like this happened. I'm a Game Coordinator on Classic, and although it would be hard to list the amount of events we have and when they go on, things such as dates for the Monthly Spar Tournament in a schedule would be nice. I've thought about placing them in the forum calendar, but it's stuck in 2006.

I've also tried to find out when global Sparring Tournaments happened, but had trouble tracking a lot of them down. I'm not quite sure it should have it's own place on the website, but they should definitely be posted as news more often. I'd also like to see a schedule type thing, with important dates, but we could use the forums for that if it weren't outdated.

Well the trouble is no one really looks at the forums. Maybe if we made a centralized website with all ET/EM/Global events stuff they would be more inclined to join.

So if you want on board just let me know. I am planning this right now and the more servers the better. We don't have to use normal events but even if a ET/EM is going to be on hosting they could just get on the site and let people know they are.

But for big events yeah.

With the events listing it would be nice. Just a list. If you don't get them all in don't worry about it you can always add later if need be.

We could have a news section on the website itself for bigger events, when they are etc.

UN has a list already made, I can get that if you would like, but sadly Classic doesn't. I tried to think up as many as I could but it's still not everything :\. We variate a lot and use the same levels for different things.

Graal has the capability to list all upcoming events on a server but Stefan hasn't released a way to edit that :(

Why don't we just open up an Events forums then somewhere in these forums.

Although that would defeat the purpose that I had in mind.

why don't we make events automated for later nights and earlier mornings?

People living in different timezones log on at 3:30 in the morning here, but to them it's 2:00 PM and scream "WHERE R DA EVENTS?????"

I doubt they'd want to stay up all night to play events scheduled, too. And how many graalians would want to check a SCHEDULE? Pfft, not even that many play the forums.

I can help with Zone (And GK but clearly you can do that yourself :P) if needed.
I know if I massed a URL that showed the times and dates of major events once a day on every server I play, there would be a big increase for player turn out at my events.
How do you play the forums? Just wondering.

Look dude at my first post, apparentally you stopped reading it after the first paragraph, I gave a good statement on something that would help that you ignored because I myself wouldn't want to check a schedule

Lets emphasize the words "I" and "myself". You don't speak for everyone else. Just because you wouldn't doesn't mean that 99 other people wouldn't. Its a good idea anyways and would like the forum staff to put up and EM/ET second for all servers so we can do this idea.

let me emphasize the other 20 or so letters in there that say I had another idea that would remove any need for a schedule that you so blatantly ignore.

Go back and re-read it.

Yeah I read. Its not a good idea. Would never work. Especially on Graal kingdoms and Zone.
