SoG Is Currently Hiring
 

We are currently hiring for this server. I'm sure you all read about it in the PW Main Forums and said your thoughts on it being "revived". Thats alright! Anyways, we are looking for some experienced staff members. If you don't know where I'm going when I say 'experienced' I mean this. At least know how to work an RC, and make sure you've had some past experience on 3 or so servers. Im not being TO strict on how many servers you've worked on but make sure you have had your fair share of working. But back to the hiring, we are mainly looking for the following positions:
NAT(1-2)
LAT (2-3)
Gani (1-2)
GAT (1)
Im not trying to be a hot head about this or anything (>_<), but please know how to be creative with the tiles, and know how to make it look good at the same time if your going to try for LAT. Make sure you can make levels that people don't get sick of because they are too bold/plain. Know how to work the tiles and make them look good. For NAT, we don't need someone who is VERY experienced in scripting (even thought that would be nice), but instead someone who knows how to do some minor things and maybe some little systems. Just to fix some minor errors we may have along the way.

Also I am going to have a quick poll to see what you would the players would like. I would like to know if we should keep the server name Sands of Glory, or maybe change it to something else. Your vote would be appreciated. :)

Personaly, I can't call it SoG without Jave,Drake, and maybe a few other players that played/were staff. It would just be a place where nubs run there mouth and think they know everything.

I think this whole server should be shut down,
It has no right to use any content from Sands of Glory, and although the name is not copyrighted I beleive its like beating a dead horse, please give it up, and stop using content created for the original server, and to be used ONLY for the original server.

Angel said he had the rights to be able to use the stuff, In the end the ownder of the pw was giving out staff positions to hit ''friends'' so angel took everythign and made sure the server wouldnt be rebirthed by the same person.

No need to go nuts jave, You can rebirth it yourself.

I got permission a while ago from the original owner of SoG. He gave me his permission and asked that I did not go the wrong way with the server. He said he liked my work and was interested to see how it all turns out. He even said, "Tell Jave I gave you permission, see if he even wants to help you guys out, I'm sure you will have no problem with him helping you guys ;)". But unfortunately I have been needing money IRL for some typical life issues and have not been able to go and buy my own playerworld to keep this server going. But I'm not that worried about bringing this server back yet because as most of you already know, I have a project with Endora, and I'd like to get going on that. ^^

I would gladly take over. Well not "take over" but if you give me all the stuff i can work on finishing it all. I don't have much to do now, just ganis for Mythic legends

Sorry but I and only I was given permission to use this stuff, also, I would probably never just give it away to someone whenever I plan on eventually working off of it. It's not really mine to 'give away' anyways. I was just given permission, and dont really have the right to pass it around >_< Nor do I plan on it. Sorry

Calls are now made by the PWA I believe since the new stuff "Once uploaded it's Graal property"

Just because it's Graal's property doesn't mean players can freely use it.

When i signed up for graal i didn't agree to that. Not like i'm going to freak out but if i had an entire server that i had worked on taken from me and said it's Graal's I would probably have to kill someone.

I mean it in a way the PWA's are the ones to ask easily to use content rather than trying to look for the original owner's AIM ad find out they don't use it anymore.
They can't. Once you upload stuff if you don't pay for the server (goes for UC and Hosted servers) then it's not only up to you to allow people but also the PWAs. They can't take you content because "it's Graal's".
Also I think you agreed to it when you bought your server. Not sure, but I remember seeing it somewhere.

I'm more hyped for it then this server.

At least a little more professional design is being done to Endora then this server, which doesn't even have the thumbs up from an original creator.

Very wrong. Obviously you don't know really what your saying or talking about. Because I believe I already even posted about this BEFORE. I have gotten permission to use the SoG content from one of the original owners. (FallenChild)
He logged on to this server once it was up, and specifically told me "Your doing well will this server blahblahblah, I like what I'm seeing!". So I told him how people were complaining saying that SoG stuff is being illegally used and such. He said "Well I give you my full permission to use this content. You and ONLY you. If anyone has a problem they can contact me. If you guys get as far as classic and need proof that I gave you permission, let me know, I will talk to a PWA."

I don't know why you all still insist on saying that this content is illegal for me to use. I have the permission to use it. Just because Jave (One of the SoG Owners after FC) says he does NOT give permission, doesn't mean I can't use it. Jave doesn't have the final say so or the word that is to be followed.

Anyways SoG isn't even up anymore b/c I lack of a PW to make it on. Also I lack the money to be spent on one at the moment. I don't even see why this thread is even going. It died when the server ran out time. Now its suddenly revived? I don't get it...

I know you have rights to the content, but the main creator (shyguy2) doesn't approve of it at all.

SoG isnt running anymore, Angel took it away cuz pallet was selling peeps weps for like 2 points. -.-

This isn't like the billionth time I tried to revive it. This is still the same project, the ONLY project of my attempt. It has far from failed yet. It had some bumbs to get thru and it has. You say it like I had it, it died, then I tried to revive it again 10329048 times. Most people seem to like the idea, then theres guys who jump on the "oldbies i love SoG" band wagon and sit here and bash people who want to give the players of graal a good server. If it died in the past, so what? What is the problem with reviving it if people like the idea and have fun? Absolutely nothing..

No, but what it has gone through with staff. You really didn't think that...Whoever that guy was can't remember his name...Wasn't talking to Jave? Jave and him has this planned for a long ass time. I was with SoG Since the start. Unless you can actually bring back the abusive yet very cool SoG Staff. Then i can and will call it a sad attempt. Most people liked it, But now i can ask atleast half of those and they will say yours sucked. A Good Server? I Laugh at your knowledge of SoG. The only thing good about SoG Was the old wood levels. When it went desert/urban It died. Plus it didn't have level loading problems....

Interitus (SoG) is hiring some staff positions. We need a NAT (maybe) and a LAT and Gani'r
Thats all we really need at the moment. The battleground is up and running now with the EnterBattle script fixed and you have a protection upon entering the battleground with a halo above your head for about 3-5 seconds. This keeps you safe from lamers standing at 1 of the 3 battle spawn points. We are in the process of creating another battle ground. We plan to have one with cars soon also. Log on Interitus to join in the fight!
