A shield
 

I tried making a shield, this would be like an icon so it doesn't have a light source.

Well I generally don't like the idea of a rectangular shield, but other than that it's a good design, and the shading isn't bad. :) And icons can have a light source. =0 Hell, even tiles do sometimes :)

Set transparency on the green corners.

Definetly to square.Perhaps try making it more like an oval or add some shading to make it look bent

The romans used square shields, so-called Tower Shields. :\

I loves tower shields, but there aren't any.

I like the natural look, thought it was a table top just had to look twice. I would like to see it equip to something.

Yes they did use tower shields and yes they were square but its not like they were fighting with square cardboard pieces. They were bent in. Like a half of a soda can.
