Graphics Problem - Graal v5

Well I tryed to install the Graal v5 client but heyy guess what problem that I had when the Graal v4 client was released.

GRAPHICS!

I never had DirectX so I downloaded it.. it might be this temporary crappy computer.

It has the following Graphics Card;

NeoMagic MagicMedia 256 AV (Laptop:IBM ThinkPad,390E)

That Laptop's Name would probably explain the problems, since its about 8+ years old.

Can anyone help me find out a proper graphics driver to fix my problems, or atleast put me out of my misery and tell me it's impossible to see the graphics correct with this graphics card.

Windows Update is fairly efficient at finding and providing updates for the hardware of your comp :o

Ahh...unsuported by Microsoft now, unfortunately. Try running dxdiag.exe : might tell you some information about your graphics card.

If your model name, etc is right.

Here is your video card driver.

All it did was copy files on my comp, still no change.

Did you reboot?

foxboi 07-14-2007 01:57 PM

Just about to, I'll post if no changes.

Put your monitor in 16-bit mode.

foxboi 07-14-2007 02:09 PM

rebooted, went into 16-bit color mode, still no change. When I start graal it says "Rendering problem-no hardware graphics to support your graphics card."

foxboi 07-14-2007 06:28 PM

I can't seem to update or even install an efficient Driver for this Graphic Card

Did you actually install the driver or just unzip it?
