Are guns taking over swords?
 

So what I was wondering, I see many new servers implent guns...guns and more guns.
Is Graal slowly losing it's identity?
are guns slowly replacing the good old swords?
What is in your opinion the best weapon to use, i mean what do you prefer using?
Should Classic change to guns aswell..or should classic stick to classic and use swords instead?

I believe the reason Graal is slowly going downwards is it's lack of fantasy.
It used to be fantasy and roleplay, but everything changed to a life combat zone, with guns here and there.
With all this ****ty war going on in this world, i see graal is losing it's roleplay function, and is being replaced by " bye a gun, and kill any opponent in your way" and that's it basiccly.

So what should Graal do in your opinion?
Should it avoid future servers from using gun methods, and bring back more swords??

Should graal restore it's identity as ROLE PLAYING GAME??

I think that's what made Graal fun to play.

Graal's 'identity' has always been as far as scripting could take it. Guns never appeared before because it wasn't possible to do so. As soon as it became possible and the idea sprung, it began to come out a lot. Whether Graal is or is not losing its identity isn't because of guns...

Also, I don't see SWORDS anywhere in ROLE PLAYING GAME.

I like swords http://images.wikia.com/finalfantasy...Fighter8BT.gif:D . Really though I have been a proponent of making Kingdoms more Rp but Rp can be done with guns.

Yes RP can be done with guns and I would really like to see it done, the problem is when a server tries to throw in Rping and Guns they get retarded staff members who turn it into a Era clone.

Actually, I've seen a large surge of RP style servers lately, and the amount of gun servers has decreased greatly. I think it's becomming quite the opposite.

I still like to use the traditional old way in battling. Sword Fight!

thanks..but the problem with graal is that it's becoming close to reality. and thats wrong, as it was ment to role play on this game..people keep on bringing more reality to this game.

graal is what you doing out of it it will be horrible if all people doing an rpg server
but in my eyes the idea behind games is not to fake reality... than i can go out with a gun and kill other poeple maybe i have no 3 lifes in rl but the graphic is better than any game ^^

Role playing is when someone plays a role other than yourself, or even yourself. You can role play a more modern server, you can role play being in a gang, any of that. You have a very close-minded view of what role playing is.

My favorite weapon is a pirate hook on a chain!

My favourite weapon to RP isn't one.

Unarmed RP for the win.

Zone and Era are the only servers that have guns as main weapons...

Not including the crappy ones in private.

I'm only talking about the classic/gold servers (aka the ones that actually matter).

Graal is what you want to make it i guess, you make a Sword Server, its what you want it to become, someone makes a Gun server, its what they want :)

If they combined Magic, Guns and Swords, i think it would be awesome :D
