Alan + Chris retirement: Full story.
Part 1 of the story is on my previous post alan posted about the "new governors". Part 2 goes into detail of what actually happens during when they leave and will reveal the actual deaths in the characters.
After the two heroes parted and left the borders of graal kingdoms and set sail eastward for Selroth they found the island in turmoil. Instead of retiring normally and going on the occasional dungeon expedition they found themselves in the middle of a war. The inhabitant dragons once seen as peaceful creatures suddenly began attacking the townsfolk and it turned into a war between man and beast. Chris and Alan were happy to help get to the bottom of this mysterious problem and began to get to the bottom of things. Due to their notorious reputation, but the desperation of things the town guards did not try to arrest them, but rather recruit them into the military. After months of battles, seiges and sacrifices Chris and Alan made many enemies and allies and eventually slain the master behind the plot restoring peace and sanctity to the island. This was indeed their final adventure together and after this they settled into the simple life pirates often do when they retire from piracy which included buying their own mansions near the coast. However it seemed that Chris could never truely relax unless there was something dangerous around the corner.
Due to his need in adventure he invested in a black dragon egg and showed it to Alan. "Wow lets eat" alan said with eyes gazing at this massive egg. Of course Chris explained what it was and why he got it. They looked after the egg and eventually it hatched. Chris was never the same again, He was never at home and instead always with his beloved dragon known as Sulphur. Alan however decided that he would try and relax for the first time in years so took up fishing on his own private lake surrounded by 16 acres of his own private land. Alan turned his mansion into a house of tranquility and relaxation...where as Chris Steele turned his into a playboy mansion. None stop partying took place and Chris was rarely seen due to the amount of beautiful women he was surrounded by.
However If Chris was not partying or flying, he was discussing issues with Alan about the pirates, about times when we used to laugh at old safe-trade cid. Other times about previous wars, victories and marriages we attended. Great days we would say to ourself.
Eventually though chris did begin to leave his old lifestyle behind and eventually settle down and relax like alan did. Chris even remarried a beautiful women known as Sora. She was a barmaid at the local tavern which shocked the entire island due to his high social status and fame.
Years had passed and the memory of us of pirates soon faded. We were heroes to the Selroth empire and our exploits of pillage and plunder disappeared on the wind. Chris Steele finally died at age 87 and his Brother Alan Steele ages 98 attended the funeral. A grand military parade took place in honour to the service he done. Some of the soldiers carrying the coffin were not even born at the time. Alan, Sora and all the remaining allies and friends they made over the past years mourned his loss and eventually time caught up with them and they too crossed over to the next life.
A few years later a new age was upon us. New materials were found and new technology invented. The power of flying ships and ranged weaponry were at it's early stage. The age of mecha were soon to be upon us.
With new technology and discovery will also become more challenges allies and even enemies. What will become of the world with such an advancement in such an early time? Nobody knows but only time will tell.
