Bounty increase

Some times, people go out on to the Gmap and randomly lounge about for hours on end, either hiding or talking. But as they do it they gain a considerable amount of bounty from basicly doing nothing. I think that something could be done to make it a bit harder to cheat your bounty up.

Query: Why not put in a script that makes your bounty stop if you are inactive. Take for instance, if you was on the Alpha gmap hiding with (A) held down for 10 hours, you wouldn't get no bounty. A way to stop this without totally taking the increase over time system would be to only make your bounty go up as normal, but if it has been a certain amount of time since you've killed someone it stops, if not, starts to fall.

Oh, and don't forget to use the Rep system, for good or evil, judging on how you like the idea. ;)

i think bounty should be stricty down to kills, and not go up at all from idling.

The system SEEMS fine, but exploits can blow it all to hell. I propose that bounty be based on ranks, kills, hp, and time. Now doing the rank part would be hard, but the rest can be easy. With rank I don't know how to put it. Should a new recruit have the high or low end? (Read on to understand)
But anyways, use the time that the player was alive combined with their amount of hp left at the others' time of death, throwing in how fast they killed a certain amount of people. It sounds complicated but isn't.
How long you live(d)+How many people you killed+Amount of HP after killing+Rank
Not exactly that operation, but the general idea. I'll figure it out after some feedback.

I think that it is fine as it is. People rarely do this an even if they do make it onto the boards like Skyler10 did, they are removed.

They wasted so much time just sitting there I don't care if they get a high bounty it just means more risk for them and they have no life becaues they sit there for bounties...

jin lamed trials, conor gliitched so he was hovering therefore couldnt be shot and mortared bases.

a bounty like that takes a long time to get though. I remember helping freeze conor because he wouldn't stop and the ET's got mad.

Most, if not all bountys about 2500 were only achieved by laming. Like take Jin for example, got people to go on trials and let him kill them constantly

you cant just randomly change it...

Blaxshadow 07-04-2007 07:31 AM

The bounty system seems fine, as long as people don't abuse it:whatever:

Dante55555 07-04-2007 09:41 PM

Oh yeah, because people on zone have a natural talent for sticking to the rules

bahamutstevetff 07-05-2007 08:31 AM

bounty started getting pathetically high after the spar room came out ^^=

Ravenblade1979 07-05-2007 10:28 PM
