Semi-transparent .pngs

I've been looking for a tutorial everywhere, anyone mind helping me find one or telling me how?

Crow 06-14-2007 09:04 PM

Programs like Photoshop, GraphicsGale and such can do that.

DustyPorViva 06-14-2007 09:44 PM

If you have Photoshop just do like a 50% opacity fill/brush or what not.

Well, depending on how you're using the graphic, you can use a script to make it semi-transparent...but I wouldn't recommend it, it usually just makes it look like a light effect. x.x I always just use PaintShopPro.

Fix that by changing the effect mode to 2.

1 is semi transparency, 2 is substractive.

I was just unzipping that when I noticed:

1337, 24/7
dunno if it was pure coincidence, or intentional, but I thought it was funny.

I have 10 but i think its the same. Is there a "Background Eraser Tool"? If so you click that then do one click on the part you want Transparent. Then switch to "Selection Tool" and then you can cut out the part that you want transparent and if you did it right it will work. If you want screen shots to show you let me know
