ghost freedom

Well, look at the screenshot. Tiles don't load if you're a ghost.

Ya, makes it hard to check out UC playerworlds 'cause it usually gets you stuck like that. As well as things like NPC doors and such not working.

should have ghost friendly UC servers where ghosts can clientside open doors , have their tiles loaded, and stuff. :P

Maybe scripts should actually run for ghosts, but restricted to like
addtiledef removetiledefs say2 hide show and player isn't counted in allplayers variable. |
Or, since whenever we bring up the discussion of newbie/ghost restrictions Stefan says "Don't worry we're working on something", ghosts should just not be restricted.

Ghosts should be deleted. They simply don't work. Make what is now ghosts into trials, unless server has disabled it in a server option.

Sounds good to me.
But if I may ammend: there should be a Trial Server so people can get a better feel for the game than they currently do. Maybe run just that server like those asian MMOs, where you have to USD all the good equipment. 's all good. 2 schools of thought (neither of which works): If you keep saying it in every post, eventually Stefan will hear and comment, Or, If you keep your posts simple and concise, eventually Stefan will hear and comment.
Instead it's bloody well random, I never know what or when (or whether) Stefan will grace an idea with his edict of "Okay, next version/No, I don't like it." |

Hm...it's a good point, but it would discourage people from upgrading if they had to leave Trial never to return.
Hows about Trial is cut off from future networks, such as the Global Economy when that gets going? So oldbies would be discouraged, but not forbidden, from playing alongside the newbies? Or, we implement Classic's old Newbie Saint system so Oldbies can't bother the Newbies too much? Or, we set up a series of one-way gates, so the only way for an Oldbie to get into the "Petting Zoo" is for one of the newbies to invite them into that room/dungeon/etc? (No, then they'll just make a newbie account to let themselves in...) (Apologies again for the examples, I pull 'em out the air) Maybe a Chat Request system? "Googi [Status: Bigger than you, Nice to puppies] wants to chat (y/n?)" "Sparky [Status: Bigger than you, Big dumb jerk] wants to say something (y/n?)" "Totally Not Sparky [Status: Just Started, Neutral] wants to say something (y/n?)", so they can see the person's AP and "level"(hearts and sword level) before they accept...? |
