Metric Revolution


The Year is 4087, times of war strike the universe. The Revolution and Dark Kingdom have been fighting for over 2000 years, a dark and horrorfic war.

The Revolution

The group to which upholds the last of the human race. They are scattered all over the universe. Section A-94, is the main home of The Revolution. Here with new technology they create the "perfect being" to which can adapt and evolve instantly. They are trainned to fight the soliders of the Dark Kingdom.

Dark Kingdom

A group of alien forces devoted to the destruction of all man kind. In which to have complete control over the entire Universe.

Man, I have only a few suggestions with you. And you will hear this from a lot of people. It's really not such a good idea to waste your money so early man. At least learn how to script well enough and do levels and some basic graphics beforehand so you can get something somewhat appealing down. Because chances are it won't be finished.

Now wait, don't get me wrong. I love the idea! :] I just think you'd have a better chance if you finished learning to script first!

So, like, is the Dark Revolution being oppressive by using American measurements, and the Revolution trying to change it back to Metric, or something?

Great, basic outline, but you should try and avoid clichés like "The Dark Kingdom" and other over used Sci-Fi terms. Come up with a unique setting or central plot (and I don't mean like a RPG type plot) and pull together ideas that will branch off these points. It took me months to figure out Niromia's strategically designed mainland to fit the plot and setting of the server. In addition to drawing out the map, I spent some nights writing a 7 page "Bible" that described almost every single aspect of the server. It looks like you have a great start, but just make sure you follow through with your plans before getting ahead of yourself and being rash by buying a server unprepared.

I'm going to have to beat you up again for jumping the gun. Where did he say he was buying a server? He is merely stating an outline of an idea. Anyways if you buy a server you have a place to learn how to script, upload your levels and graphics, and test them altogether. Also, I think he will only hear it from you :noob:

Well, priorly he said he had a big project coming up. As well as he was learning to use GS2. You need an online server to test GS2 to learn more. And usually everyone who is at their first time messing with Pws gets the server first.

All I said was for him to try and get was more dev experience. I'm pretty sure anyone would suggest that. :noob:

See i have been around for a while so i know the more you get done before you actually buy the server less you have to spend money. = ) this is just a little bit of my thoughts i have a lot more.

I thought that i would just get a little bit out there. This project is probably going to be a solo project. Which i KNOW sounds crazy but i have all the time in the world and im not even thinking about buying a server until i have a big part of the graphics and scripts done or beta atleast.

Though sadly the hardest part is going to be doing the graphics. = *(, I'm going to post probably next week a few of the graphics so that you can get a better visual.

NOW go spend 60-100 dollars on a server that you will never get anywhere with and end up wasting time and money.

I dont even think he said he didnt know how to script or he was buying the server RIGHT NOW.

And omg, you dont need to learn to do all ****ing development to run a server. Also, it can be a hobby or merely for fun.

Yea thats why i am making this server. I want to do all the development. To make myself better at everything. I might higher people after i decide to buy a server. but that won't be for awhile

Yeah and i guess to also make yourself better at developing too. That goes in the hobby/fun category. But still you dont need to be good at every dev position to pull off a server.

Idea Updates!

Start off

When you start off after you choose your looks you will be warped to Trainning section of the main shuttle. You will be greeted by the Highest Ranked Solider (still working on rank names). You will recieve how everything works.

Such as :

Ranks

There will be a rank system, you earn experience to gain up ranks. There will be many benifits to being high rank.

Money system

You recieve money by completing quest.

Also there will be a bounty list, if you kill the person you get the reward.

I think I missed it, why 'Metric'?

I will have the entire story up by the end of next week hopefully. It might be sooner im trying to make it perfect.

Metric Revolution

The year is 4087. The metric war has been on going for over 2000 years. Planet's have been stricken of their resources. Circe Empire have enslaved the human race. The Circe brutly tourtured the humans. After several years of enslavedment a group formed called the Revolution. They broke lose retreating to the abandoned Shuttle in Section A-963. Using new technology they started to create the ultimate army. It has been 300 years since the revolution reached Section A-963. There is now hope for the human race....

Sounds like any other server out there, just with its own theme.

I'm trying to go away from all the other servers. But i can't only do so much. I would have to have amazing staff to do the things i want to do.

I don't get it. Why would the humans be having a revolution against the circes?
