Upgrading with Bank Account?!?!?
 

Hi fellas.

Just kinda, curious, about this.

I went through the "procedure" to upgrade my account, and I didn't figure I'd be able to because all I have is a business paypal, NO credit card... But it has a bank account, which usually just receives payment from other folks for services I provide... But anyway, I went through the deal, made the order for GOLD.. It gave me the order number, I hit Pay, and it said it worked + gave me a receipt, which I saved.

I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned bank account upgrading or if it works? Everyone uses credit cards on Paypal through personal accounts. If it works, I'm overjoyed as it solves a lot of problems I've been having with disability to access certain worlds. How long does it usually take to find out if it is upgraded? ALSO Just as I speak an email from Paypal arrived, another receipt... I'm gonna try logging on to see if it worked.... Noope still a ghost. I guess I have to wait for someone to activate it?

Honestly, I am not familiar with how this works so I am a bit nervous... :cry: Hey this looks like a crying face with a beard made out of tears. That's cool. But yeah. I guess we'll see if this works eventually? The money has gone through so it SHOULD work. I'm excited methinks. I wasn't planning to upgrade because I have to buy a new car, but then I did... and now I have to get a slightly cheaper car. ^_^

It sometimes takes a few days to go through, especially if you're using a new or unactivated Paypal account.

It's probably over a year old and it's a verified account! So I've got to wait for a few days? I was expecting to hop right on. :P Zoogi <3

Did you just add the bank account you used to the account recently?

Naw, I actually added that bank account in right after I started up the account, so it's all been very solid for a good while. I've even wired money I received from the Paypal into the bank account with no problem. :D

only took a few minutes for mine to upgrade using my
bank account -> to one of graals payment options, forget what one -> graal

It can take a few days.

Well I'm still a ghost, so it's not working yet. I'm kinda bummed. :(

Ok, I'm freaked out now... I was worried about using Paypal because of what happened before, and now I have a couple of suspicious emails from [email protected]....

I got 2 emails saying I paid $419 to some company, and it has a shipping address to where these electronic, I guess, phones, should be shipped. So I immediately got freaked out, opened a new window, and logged in to my PayPal. All it shows is the $39 outwards from bank and going into MMO Expert (Graal) that has not cleared yet... meaning still a ghost... But what about those two $419 charges? 1) They're not listed, and 2) I don't have a credit card hooked up in there.

I'm sorta freaked out because just because they're not listed in recent history doesn't mean it has been taken from my bank. I'll have to go stop at my bank today and make sure the balance is ok. I'm particularly upset because the last time I upgraded in 2004, someone stole (or figured out) my password to my email, which had my account information and also my PAYPAL information, and they stole about $500. Luckily, I don't remember how I did it, but I saved my account here. But that is a freaking ton of money, you know. From a debit card on Paypal. x_x

Now I've got a unique password for everything, and I don't save important information like that in an email. I really wish you could set an IP range for email addresses and paypal type stuff, hah... to keep just me in them. Well I sent a little support thing to Paypal to ask about it, we'll see how it goes. It might just be really vicious spam. x_x

But like I said, yup, ghost. I hate floating around while noobs and the other staffers work there on the "Graal EV" level and I can't interact or work.

My first car costed $100, and it lasted over 2 years... it's still running, but has some problem with leaking oil. :) I get decent cars for cheap. You really appreciate the worth of a small amount of money when you're driving a $100 car. :)

Pretty sure it's vicious spam. Check the headers, and don't click anything on the email saying "Log in now to confirm" etc.; also look closely at the name on the paypal, it might be that "0inkness" is claiming to use the same email as you on their paypal account, etc. The paypal site usually has a whole section on phishing, so.

Transfer via bank accounts and even credit card can take a few days, Paypal is usually verifying that the postal address is correct and they really get the money before transferring it to the recipient.

It's a paypal issue dude, I told you that already (has nothing to do with Graal). Paypal has to first withdraw the money from your checking account (or whatever account you have it attached to) which the bank often requires 3 - 5 business days to complete. Once the money is in your paypal, it is instantly transferred over to Graal at which point you should immediately have your Gold.

Agreed, I get several emails from "PayPal" every week, and they're all bogus.

Yay, it is finally working! It only took 3 days to process. And I like how they put so many extra hours of a 366th day, because I've still got 9 hours OVER a year left... I won't even be able to get on for another 2 and a half hours cause I gotta head out to college.

But hay Ziro... gold now. :D Eh? Can use my own account now. :)
