The Phoenix meets Gileada - Part 1
 

Does anyone remember this server?
I stopped the project about roughly 4 years ago (I can't believe it has been that long). I recently just stumbled over some of the old files along with a lot of design notes I had written up back then and to my amazement, I am rather impressed with these ideas that I have thought prior to now, to be rather dull. A big thing I noticed about them is that the concepts would have been almost impossible to make back then when I had drawn up the ideas but with the advent of gs2 and many other features, I can see a lot of this being crafted rather easily.

So basically I am trying to pull a team together for this. The reason for this thread is not to "hire" anyone per-say but to actually re-acquaint my self with old contacts and others that once worked on this server.

So, does anyone remember Gileada? :)

I played it before it became that FF type of looking server. I thought it was pretty neat what you guys was working on, then it sorta dissappeared.

Do you plan on bringing it back or something? Would be pretty cool if you did and made a massive world with what you guys had.

Yes I do. I even have some old developers that quit Graal planning on coming back to work on the server.

It had some amazing levels I remember seeing as PWA, but were never released to the public as initially when it went public it was cool but also had a lot of bad levels.

I remember it. I loved the map. I don't remember seeing very many levels, but I remember I made a few levels for you. :D

Yeah, we kept most of the levels private and only opened a few to the public.

I remember it, do you still have Satrek's levels by chance?

I don't, but I am pretty sure they are still on the server.

Well I just paid for the gserver so it should be up soon. :)

I used to be LAT on there, don't do levels anymore though.

The server has just been renamed so you should now see 'Gileada' on the list. We have to keep it staff only for now though until we get things more presentable :)

Hey, 'zokemon' (lol) you should show a few screen shots...So we can all see what it looks like, Graphic wise anyways. :)

Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that I think the thread title is weird :D

Yeah, I was planning on doing that when I got around to getting the backup files back online (gotta convert scripts to gs2 and such...at least the ones that display the GUI's and the like). Right now I'm just trying to get things more organized before I actually get to development.

Well, a pheonix is a creature that can revive, no? Thus, I am pretty much saying "I am reviving Gileada". Just trying to be creative!

The last backup died with my other hard drive. Unless Cybnext, Knuckles or slp has a spare tire it won't happen.

You DO know that all of the files are probably still on the server?

Or Stefan has backups.

I forget which admin but whoever answered my support ticket said servers are kept for a crazy amount of time. So hopefully you'll be in luck ^^.

I've gotten really really sick so I don't think I'll be doing any work for a few days :(

Lets not pressure Zero about screenshots folks, I'm sure he has more important things to do and I'm sure Zero will be showing off the coolness of Gileada soon enough :D
