Faded Nation: What do you think about it?
 

Hey!.. As the topic says..
Have you been on Faded Nation if so../ What do you think about it?
I'm just curious because personally i like EVERYTHING about it, the ideas, DEV stuff like good graphics, scripts and to not mention the levels...
Faded Nation's levels are made by very experienced staff like:
Daevious (Former LAT Admin on Unholy Nation)
TooT (Former LAT Admin on Unholy Nation, now she is a LAT there)
Katie (Former LAT on Unholy Nation, now she is a LAT there)
SwedishKing (Former Asst LAT Admin on Unholy Nation)

i like em, but the 'all exUN staff' is a minor turn off...

but hey, it looks good :)

It shows that they are experienced, and don't make ****ty levels like a lot of inexperienced LATs does.

i just dont care for UN, regardless of how good they are :(

Notice..."Unholy Nation" => "Faded Nation"

And notice how all the staff are ex-UN staff?

Levels are good but what will this offer that will beat UN?

Well, as you may know. Unholy Nation is a server lack of ideas.
Faded Nation is quite the opposite.
We have a LOT of ideas, but i can't tell all of them because we have recently discovered that UN copied one of our ideas, but after a few days they deleted it.
This server listens to what the players like, it'll bring people from UN, Era & Zodiac. People who like play events, people who likes to spar, do quests etc..
It'll have pretty much something that you'll like.

With help from Malinko i believe this server will go far.


Oh.. Did i mention that 90% of the HUGE overworld levels are done.

A ton of levels mean nothing if there isn't anything to keep players occupied within them.

these are the kind of people most servers dont want to bring in

What is wrong about Malinko? He is one of the best NATs on GraalOnline.
He can pretty much script everything.
I've talked to him a bunch of times, he's nice too.

You know 99.9% of the scripts arent his own right? He is probably just taking the scripts directly from some playerworld backup he got as PWA and putting

But dont let me be the only scripter who he has done this to who tells you, lemme wait for EOTB, and Criminal X, among others.

Your playerworld might go far, only because Malinko knows stefan, and stefan listens to him, thats it, not because its good, in any way.

Levels are mostly well-made but I don't like some of the cliffs (tile errors) and I think the detail is a little over the top.

Otherwise, good luck I suppose.

since i was over here bashing FN, i decided to give it a look...

nothing really stands out to make me see why it should be anything special, and for some reason looking at it made me think "hey! lets make a server out of all of UN and Npulse's leftovers!" go figure.

The levels are pretty okay, but nothing overly special. They seem quite boring to look at.

Is there any real eye candy Faded Nation has to offer?


lol. I just noticed that. If PWA pops on Faded Nation and is seeing copies of scripts from N-Pulse, Babylon, Unholy Nation, and Maloria on this server then its obvious where they came from.

How is the server NOT good? Is it just because it has MALINKO?. Explain.

Either way I can see this server simply being an update of UN, so to speak.

I don't think that's what he's saying.

From my perspective there is nothing in any of the four levels that sets far apart from UN or Npulse. Show us some of the NPCs that have been released to players and maybe some particular level that has some really nice effects or is just different and creative overall. The levels are nice, just not really different.

I simply just asked people what they are thinking about Faded Nation, not about Malinko.. so far i've just got like 1answer.

I'm quite surprised at how similar Faded Nation is to Unholy Nation (Even with the same Daynight system!!), but all in all, It looks quite nice.

I think it's the unnatural number of trees framing everything that makes it so similar. The starting town also reminds me strongly of UN's Towncenter...

Like What?..
I don't see that Unholy Nation has a beach in TC etc.

That detail style is awefully familiar...if only it was done slightly better. :(

What the hell are you talking about? If anything your version of detailing could be seen as a butchered version of mine. I'm not saying it is, but if you put the screenshots side by side it would look like it.

If i was focusing on the levels, then i would do 1 picture / weapon.
