Nexus is a modern/futuristic server.

In Nexus, 3 or 4 businesses act as "gangs" as you may call it on most modern
servers. These businesses compete against eachother by conducting research
to improve and upgrade their equipment. This can range from new weapons
to hp/armor upgrades. There will be many different variables in what you can
upgrade. (Note: these businesses don't sell products, they use it for
themselves and compete with the others in battle) PKing is a huge factor.

More ideas are still developing, if you have any you can post in this thread!

We are in dire need of staff.

First, we need a dedicated graphics artist to make us a tileset. Stealing from
other servers will not be tolerated. We want pure, original talent. Please log
on Nexus and contact either me, or Will, or you can e-mail one of the following:

Talented scripters are also wanted. Systems such as movement, GUI, and
item along with future projects need to be done. If you're interested, also
contact one of the above e-mails.

Gani is also hiring. If interested, contact the e-mails above.

LATs are not hiring untill we get the tileset done. I will update this thread
and announce when we're hiring LATs.

GP, ET, and FAQ will not be hired, so do not contact us about those positions.

I don't have any screenshots to show you guys, because we have almost nothing
made yet, but with your help we can change that :)

If you have any examples of your work, you may include it in the e-mail or
PM on the server. Hopefully you will have a fun time working with us on
this server.

The server isn't, and is nowhere near being similar to Era.

But heh, I posted this thread prepared for forum trolls like you to make some stupid comment about how this server is an Era ripoff because I said "MODERN OMGGOGMG". Maybe if you would of read past the first line. *sigh* I really don't feel like dealing with your ignorance now, so please cut the crap. This is for staff hirings not to poke fun at the server and our ideas.

Too many people think that all modern-type servers are Era-related. Not true. >_>

First, in order to point out my absolute ignorance that you suppose I am expressing let me show and point out a couple things I'm going to bold.

Firstly, I'd like to point out to you that I did read past the first line, just so you know. Maybe I need to better explain my reasoning behind the things that I say so here. :)

Now, I've read it again and firstly you say businesses and gangs. This is already sticking to close to the disgusting muck that Era has become. But I like how you're doing something different with the idea.

My suggestion:

When you have the time think up a different name of the system so as to NOT be associated with that mess of a server we like to call Era.

Ok, now I like where you're going with the armor upgrades but this isn't really like a strong server theme you can add on to. It's more like a server attraction. What I mean is, it seems like something I would put onto another modern type server. :)

My suggestion:

Try and create an actualy theme for your servers. Look back and through time and check things out and create things based off of that.

Lastly, you stated that Player-Killing would be a large factor. For the love of god. I ask you to please, please create a modern server with the substance if you have to. This is all basically Era is. Player-killing and more player-killing and nothing more.

My suggestion:

Write out some more ideas and such to your main theme as I stated in my second suggestion.


Please, don't take offense to this. I just tend to not explain myself and sum up how I feel in 1-7 words. ._. I apologize.

Yeah I would of rather have you come and state all that constructive criticism
first, instead of calling us another Era :(

I'll probably make another thread about the server later because it's changing completely. Mods can close this one if you wish.

I have seen quite a few modern servers coming along recently, which is good imo. I like them and enjoy developing on them, when you have some screenshots (when you've changed ideas) please post them, I may be interested in helping out (LAT). I like your ideas usually :p
