Zormite Island Comunity
 

For the past few weeks I've been working on the small island to the southeast of the Zormite continent. I intend on creating a small private comunity out of it, however I'd like to have the support of the emporer himself. There will be several benifits from this:

1. It's an easy access island so you won't have to walk or even sail across the entire continent to get to a private area.

2. The island is in a very good position to defend the sea around zormite, and more people on the island means a better chance for defence against attackers.

3. An active comunity area will atract prospective members.

4. It's a small step towards reviving the kingdom.

If I gain support I will be doing the following things to keep the comunity alive:

a. I've already build a comunity home for storage and a place to hang out.

b. I will be building a stable home where all pets will be fed daily.

c. I will continue to construct, improve uppon, and maintain the wall around the island to ensure privacy and defence.

d. I will give a key to the front and side gates to residents, the emporer, and anyone the emporer instructs me to give one to, free of charge.

e. I will offer house repairs to anyone living on the island at the cost of 1 dia a week.

I already spend most of my time working on this island, I'd apreciate it if these past few weeks of work havent been a waste.

You want to talk to the emperor about this? hah, thats funny you may have to wait a few weeks for him to log on :oo: wow is the only game for him now =/

ya, I know... it'll take a while, but although I'd like him to support me on this, the only support I realy NEED is from someone who can aprove houses on zormite.

Its nice to see that you are trying to improve Zormite, recently it has become extremely inactive, even the empress has left =[

There was an empress? o.O hmm... well I just think that GK as a whole has coroded down to near nothing. If there were a war or something then people would have a reason to log on. something needs to happen, but the little people like me can only do so much, so I'm doing as much as i can :D

A war, yes that would be nice for a change, I agree at the moment there isnt really anything on GK that will make poeple want to log on. and yeah Shelly was the empress before she quit and went to samurai

Ya, I'm building the walls up so the island can also be used as a military base. I think I'm gonna build a few blimps and bring them over to the island too incase by some miricle a war dose start and we have to attack.

Having some houses on an island doesn't make it an "active community". Of new Zormite members I have spoken with (though I have not spoken with the majority of them) most joined without ever having been to the island. A couple didn't even know how to kingdom islands. I don't see the basis for the housing obsession that seems to be systemic within all the kingdoms.

I don't realy understand that, why would anyone let someone into a kingdom without ever being to the nation? before I joined zormite I explored every inch of every continent. I've been toying with the idea of doing comunity events, nothing official and no fancy prizes, maybe like a ship war with the last ship standing getting like 4 dias to split between the crew :D but before i even start thinking about something like that I need to finish the wall around it and get people there

It would become a more active kingdom with this new stuff because then more people will hopefully want to do the same...

It's not like I keep a list, though I know at least one account name. Are you asking me because you want to remove them? I don't see any need for that. Just because they hadn't been to the island when I talked to them doesn't mean that they haven't been there since.

Nah, I was going to introduce them to the island if they haven't been there period. x.x

Skatesmurf is the only one recent enough, but I told him about ferries and he's probably been to the island since then.

I have 2 building flags up that I'd like to get aproved whenever someone has a chance. The first being a stable and the second being a public relations office.

I'll do it in a hour.... 8:47 PM Right now.

i might come by and give you some wood/stones later, i have a decent amount laying around for whenever i feel like getting on gk

And exactly what does anyone in zormite do for the kingdom besides come on tag? And right now there probably is a good reason why he is inactive....don't pull this coupe while he is away doing stuff. People are allowed to have lives too you know.

Uh, The staff knows that he runs a Jewelry business, and can't come on half the time as he has JEWELRY TO SET OR WORK UPON...

If you had half the sense to ask before going off ranting about calling for a new leader, you would under stand that personal issues, and Business issues take priority over everything, that is final, in the mean time ,I run the Kingdom in his place already, but due to inactivity of people these days, and people quitting Graal and low playercount, what can one really do for the Kingdom when there only what? Three? Four active members? And Raelyn who quit over me getting Steward? xD

Either way, theres still his family he has to look after, and as of this time, he is currently away from his computer in Florida...Why you ask? Picking up some equipment, why? Look up, forgetful ones.

Well you see people don't get that people work and have families irl. They think that people should be on non-stop. Just because you are 13 or 14 don't mean that we who are older need to be on all the time just to make your ego inflate. We do have lives and before people all go on me saying that I don't. Well I am a writer. I also do homepages as well. Currently I am pricing how to get published. Its a expensive venture.

o.o Anywhoo... Thank you for aproving of the houses, I'll be on to build them soon. Hopefully I can get this turbulance to pass soon.

I just got on and I'd like to thank whoever it was that helped gather those stones for the stable :)

Hmm.... I've come to the conclusion that I can't build the stable sence someone else already started it x.x I can grab it, but only on the posts, and it dosn't say anything.

Thanks :D I built the public relations office :) I donno what I'm gonna use that place for yet, but I have a few ideas :D if anyone has any building materials they want to donate, or anything at all realy, I'm gonna leave the door to the public relations building open. Right now I'm out making nails for the stables :)

edit: I could also use carpets and other furniture for the buildings, especialy a feeding troth or two for the stable.
