There Are A Number Of Many Happy Places....In The World Of....

Dual Ortus....

Hello all! Some of you may know me as Stan, KR, killerogue, and whatever else. And some of you may only know me as the Ex-Manager of Stone Henge. Well, Codein, Hikaru, and myself bring you the newest edition to the Under Construction List of servers....Dual Ortus.

A Little Information About The Rebirth...

Dual Ortus is Latin for 'Rebirth' or '2 Lives' and simply is the meaning for the server setting as there will be "more than one world" to play in (hint hint pls). This server is planned out to be an Roleplaying/Fantasy/Adventure all into one with alot of things (you may here this alot) never actually completed or done on Graal. Alot, of the gameplay will be comprised of very revolutionary and fun things to do on Graal. I ask that if you have any questions regarding some gameplay aspects that I have not covered here or have any more questions regarding hirings or the like please do not be afraid to contact me or a number of any of the other administrators. I will leave all of their contact information at the end of this thread. Thank You. :)

A Few Gameplay Aspects...

Firstly, the point I would like to make is on the battle system. Frankly, I am an avid fan and player of the Final Fantasy games. I have loved the final fantasy battle system since I was 8 years old. So please relax with the "OMFUXXOR U COPIED ZENKOU", as I was very inspired by PFA's Battle System and hadn't thought this possible on Graal until I had heard about it. The battle system will include challenging other players to duels, if they are in a party challenging their whole part, monsters and the like. Similar to many games such as DragonQuest and Final Fantasy as previously stated.

Another major aspect of the game will involve 'mechs'. Not traditional 'mechs' which usually tend to tower over buildings but smaller mechs more like 'personal arms suits'. These 'PAS' which I have liked to call them will be able to have parts changed in and out to maximize performance and give 'PAS' different abilities relating to the parts you equip them with. :D Those are the only aspects of the game I'm willing to give up publicly right now. But if you have questions as in the last paragraph in the last section please do not be afraid to contact me about it. :D

A Little Information About The Staff...

Codein

An experienced GFXer whom several months ago in 2006 I started this idea with and comprised to unleashed this onto the Graal world. He gave Dual Ortus the current look it had with a few tiles, a bush and a tree and we've since expanded heavily from there to create a lush beautiful very easily tileable environment. :D

Hikaru

A new edition to the team. A very bored, and very good coder who is fluent in several different coding languages and hopped on board the project as soon as asked. He has worked several systems out and is currently working on our website as well as scripting the main systems of our server.

Seraphim

And finally me, Stan, KR, killerogue whatever you choose to know me by it's me. However, I have taken on a new alias and would prefer I am known by Seraphim as of late. I am currently working on the tileset heavily along with Codein to make it better and better as we go. I am also working on finishing and making a few edits for the bodies as well. Also, I will be doing a majority of the ganis and graphics of server as well as Codein, however we wouldn't mind a little help tho. ;)

Closing...

In closing...we are truly trying to bring something fun to Graalonline so that players can enjoy this server and continue to enjoy Graalonline. I appreciate any criticism you may have on the server, tiles, ideas or anything else you may have a grip with. I would actually very much appreciate it if you would tell me in every intricate detail each issue you have (if any) so that I may do my best to fix them. :) Thank You All.

I was expecting criticism by Devil surely. :) Well, the tiles are meant to be fully resizeable so I can make them fiting for a dog house even. Just trying to get the tiles to be finished up and get alot of errors out and finish the bodies. :)

Devil 02-09-2007 06:12 AM

Don't worry, I actually like parts of it, and I like your attitude towards this project, just don't stuff it up please.

Got it. If I was going to do that I would've cried all the nights I spent alone with Photoshop. :[

Where's me mech concept mang?

Infernix 02-09-2007 07:34 AM

Improve the house tiles and add more variations and ill completely own w/ that tileset.

o and make bodies that fit w/ the set at least. Look at those fences.

I wish I didn't see u all failing just like you did with the others. Maybe eventually you'll help save Graal and stop working on your own damn projects and join ongoing ones.

Peace and love though.

Thanks infernix. And I plan on making more house variations and making fences. I'd like to consider those small stakes to keep the critters out.
