Hey so i made this PK Level. Looking at it i think it kinda sucks :/ Tell me your view :) By the way i dont usually detail like that so yeah =O

It needs more detail, and dont use half grass tiles.

zokemon 01-31-2007 09:23 PM

It looks some how familier...

Explain! :D

Bleh, it's a tough call.

On one hand, it is a PK level, so you don't want to over detail.

But on the other hand, the detail you do have is pretty bad. Especially the half grass. The fence looks just out of place and it's not a very visually appealing PK level.

But that's my other point, it is a PK level it doesn't have to be visually appealing. So it really depends on what you're going for, a decent PK level, or a decent Level.

Hey, just because its a PK level it doesnt have to be visually appealing? :p
I would detail it, just not with that many blocking tiles. Also PK levels have to look good in some way.

Well, what I mean is that levels like overworld levels have LATs that spend a good amount of time detailing the grass and stuff, while in a PK level that isn't really needed because all it's being used for is PK. Granted, it could be detailed like an Overworld level, but as it's just something for PK, i'd let it slide, and just detail it a bit better than it is.

If you'd want a fair few people in there, then it's small for a pk level really.

A PK level should (want) to have a fair few pk'ers in there, or it's just useless.

Emulated 1.5*1.5 level gmaps kind of rock imo :P

I like it, but it could use alot more detail. :)

Ducati_Link 02-02-2007 07:43 AM

Same with the others.. don't use half grass, and maybe a little bit more detail.
Also the water is to stright in some areas.. maybe give it a little bit more difination. Otherwise, nice.

PrinceDark 02-02-2007 07:49 AM

It reminds me of UNs old TC PK area.

DARKVILLIN 02-04-2007 06:03 AM

agreed...tile errors, dont use half grass...more detail on initial grass...i dont really like the gray tiles either...

hampy 02-22-2007 09:50 PM

I'm glad people are using detailed levels again, while i've been gone the number of people doing this now has increased which is great news :D The only thing is most PK areas sort of have somewhere to hide :p I don't see one here =[
