Tutorials Really Do help :P
 

As many of you may already know, I REALLY suck at gfx, but after following some tutorials (something I was always lazy to do). I've been getting better. Look at what I made in like 6 min in my sig :)

Well I wouldn't even really consider photshop layer effects and such as art...

But to each their own. :p

I didnt know it was hard to make some text look cool in Photoshop. o.O

It's paint.net and it takes much more than that z.z

It was a tutorial on making faming text

i use paint.net, it doesnt have effects like that, its not as easy as photoshop to come up with something awesome =(

I wouldn't be concentrating on text... you're not really learning much, you're only learning how to apply different styles.

What does a file extension have anything to do with the style of graphic...

If you have paint.NET just click HELP and go to Tutorials, or just search google for paint.net tutorials

You have to start somewhere. There's so many different things you can learn with just text alone. I just found a style I liked and I adapted it into my own. I'd suggest learning things that you specifically want to learn;your mind works so much better that way. I'd also suggest working with more programs than just Photoshop. I personally liked to pixel in Paint, and then import it into Photoshop or Paintshop Pro depending on what I wanted to do with the image. It's just good to have experience with more than one imaging program.
