Scripted RC (Mac)
 

The Scripted RC has been added for Mac users. It should automatically be added to you when you log on through the login server.

You can bring up the Scripted RC on servers that you have RC rights on by pressing the F6 key. (Some Mac laptops may require that you press Fn-F6 depending upon your keyboard configuration).

Note that some things are working slightly differently.

The first major change is that in the Scripted RC, attributes are now separated into four different sections: basic attributes, weapons, flags and chests. For opening these attributes using RC chat, you will need to use /open, /openweapons, /openflags and /openchests.

Secondly, with file manager, it is not currently possible to drag and drop files. You must right-click the file manager and use the "Download file" and "Upload file" boxes.

Thirdly, resetting DB NPCs is available, but there is currently not a button for it. You should type /resetnpc <name> into RC chat to reset NPCs.

The thread for the Scripted RC is found here, containing a list of capabilities and known problems which will be fixed in the near future. If you have any problems using the Scripted RC (find any bugs or such), then please post them so they can be looked at.

Why not allow every platform to use it? =(

Skyld I have updated the RC yesterday, but after some testing I have removed the thing which is adding it to Mac users because of a small problem. We need to fix the auto-login, the RC should not login before the user actually pressed F6

We don't need it.

I like the idea of being able to press F6 in any server, that you have rights in, to bring up RC =)

Because they have to actually be created in order to exist, you see.

It can't be too hard to allow all platforms to have access to the scripted RC. I don't think the code would need that much change to work on other platforms. Maybe just local file manipulation which could be done with if (player.platform == "win").

I'd like to have it on windows, too. But mac users actually don't have an extra program for rc linke windows does.
So I think we can wait a bit. I hope this "bit" won't take too long >_<

Some documentation on requesttext() and sendtext() would be nice.

When are you going to release the Windows one. I might as well give up on my client-rc. ;)

*seems i can do most things which is cool, but for some reason i have no buttons and its just per chance i pressed on 1 of them, is this due to UN not being gs2 or has my client just not downloaded the graphics?

Hmm, this looks like the client hasn't downloaded the images. Stefan is going to be uploading the images into the folders of other servers so that they work properly.

Sidenote: Myself and Stefan have been updating the RC so that it does not log in itself but only connects when you press the F6 button. Also fixed another couple of bugs; the script will be updated shortly.

It would be interesting for all platforms to have it possibly soon for use in fullscreen mode and such.

Can you post your graal4console.log to see what images (filenames) are missing?

I already added a graal update package on Rudora (levels/Staff/Skyld/updates_rc.gupd) which I have directed for him to use to get the files. The entire filename list is in there including file icons. (The image files are also in levels/Staff/Skyld/GUI/*)

This has a whole lot of potential.

That it does...If I could get it to work.
I have reason to believe it's nothing more than a slow connection keeping the RC from displaying scripts, files....or anything useful.
I will say, it looks nice, and good job Skyld :)

I don't think it should allow people without NC to see a list of NPCs/Weapons/Classes. They can't edit them of course, but I don't think it should let them see a list either.

It is displaying the list right now? Can disable that

I noticed a bug in the file browser, if there's a file name with a space, it doesnt display the "Rights", "Size" and "Modified" part of the file correctly. For example; file "test lala.txt" would display this under "Name"; "test lala.txt,rw,189,1141094470" instead of just test lala.txt and all that stuff seperated.

x_x Now I can't even get on my server to test it x_x

Will check that.

After that make it for Windows (prefferably Windows XP Media for my sake) :)
