Making a pixel tree
 

Anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to make a pixel tree? minus the one in my signature lol, I've looked but I can't find :(

When I first saw that picture, I pissed myself.

Really, it went everywhere.

Elk had a pretty good method of making trees - bother him.

or just google a pic of a tree, and then draw it. its not hard. x_x

Yep, I saw a tree that elk made, it was pretty good, he said he made it in like, 10 mins or?

Tree are easy to make here's one but i advise u not to use :-p cause i shrunk it so no one can copy

rawr, would be funny to plant a tree seed into paint and wait some days and a perfect tree would pop out of your file and into the screen ready for use.. darn the computer :[

Why not plant a tree, add a white background, use a camera, use wacom or psp,
shrunk, and; (maybe) voilá?

100% Paint, About 1 minute

Although I don't believe Elk is that fast, the technique he uses to make the top of the tree could easily be done in 5-6 minutes, with 4 left over for the trunk.

If you think tree's are so easy...make one and show us.

Anyways, Yes I have made a tree. Was about 3 years ago. (Did it when I first started Graal). Didn't turn out to be that bad, and it only took about 2-3 hrs to do. And I drew it from a tree, google'd on google. :p

Hence why I said, google the *****. If your trying to get it done in a few minutes, you might aswell stop. Its not easy to do it, so if you don't have the time/effort, you might aswell quit now. And really, you were going to use a "how to build a tree" guide? x_x

Making a tree can be hard and easy, depending on what style you have to make it in. Also depending if you have a good technique you can follow well.

The technique people think Elk made is all over pixelation 0_o Its a well known technique, but a good one to follow.

Elk has shown his technique for making trees before. They're not super detailed, but they're still quite nice. I don't see why it would take anymore than 10 minutes using his technique.

Draw a treetop shape, and click with paintbrush squares from light to dark is all I remember him doing, the impressive thing was he did it in layers which made it look excellent.
