New Stuff

I think there should be a command to move the camera view to a certain place on a level.
eg:
setview onlinestartlocal.graal,32,32;

then have a variable for vx vy (view x, view y). And a message code for #VL (view level).

Warcaptain 07-09-2001 02:53 AM

It would be great for cinematic scenes, to make it easier.

:D

Merlin 07-09-2001 03:28 AM

cant you do that using showcharcter to make a npc of yourself and hideplayer and change your x and y?

KJS 07-09-2001 04:05 AM

yes.

you can do it that way by having an npc and hiding your self

BocoC 07-09-2001 06:56 AM

But that would get too messy and complicated. There IS a command called setfocus x,y; , but it doesn't work. Maybe Stefan can get that to work in the next Graal version? Because I really need it for my bowling alley =/

Er1c 07-09-2001 08:16 AM

Yeah, I hear NewWorld has setfocus x,y; and resetfocus...

07-09-2001 02:12 PM

Wow that will be cool, like zelda : 0 )

entravial 07-09-2001 03:32 PM

am i the only one to not have played zelda?

G_yoshi 07-09-2001 09:31 PM

It would just be nice to have any new set of commands that are for creating cinemas easy. But then we would have servers overusing them. But aside from those new commands, you could use the other commands to make them even better :D

Warcaptain 07-10-2001 03:22 PM

With that, you could do a fun npc (used in designated levels)
that would enable you to control another player =D

it would be super.. but with what we have now, its just plain old complicated.

yeah ive seen nw scripting, and they have setfocus, i just thought we all could talk stefan into adding into graal.

well, it was worth a try...

SaijinGohan 07-10-2001 07:03 PM

That would be cool if Stefan only listened to us. =\

You need to play it!

Warcaptain 07-11-2001 10:23 AM

Stefan should make a clone of himself, with a more ... generous (a nice way of saying something else ;))

That way they could argue about p2p and how it should be free.

ETC..

Cybnext_Design 07-17-2001 10:11 AM

Yea, that would be pretty nice if there was a clone.

And i dont find anything really special about p2p servers.

Did anyone ask for your opinion iceprick?

LiquidIce00 08-25-2001 05:07 AM

the problem with moving player around for camera view is that if he touches a warp.

my warp ring used it but sometimes it would touch a warp and get warped in and it messed up
a playercantwarp; command would be cool to stop ppl from touching warps or something =)
