Double axe and a Hammer

Here are some recent graphics of mine. It's a new style I've been trying and I'm very happy with the outcome.

Comments and criticisms are appreciated :).

Quick, someone make a Gunbound reference.

mm hammers alright.. not the best..

i really like the axe tho, the blades are very smooth to the edge, looks neat

You could have just shown 2 directions for each graphic since the rest is just flipping and rotating lol...

I like them but I have to agree that they seem too light. Unless you have an entire playerworld that is really light looking it would probably be better to darken them.

He might be using a CRT monitor.
I've noticed a lot of difference in contrast and brightness between CRT and LCD monitors.
When I made graphics on a CRT monitor they seemed dark at the time, but then they look light when I view them on an LCD monitor.
Same goes for making graphics on TVs, and home theater projectors.

lol... I have no idea what your all talking about with the gunbound references xD

Thanks for all the feedback though :p

Actually my first try at that hammer was alot darker (I had originally used the colors from the axe on it), but It turned out too dull.

As for the axe being too dark; I could definately darken the handle and thats probably a good idea, but I can't think of a way that I could darken the blade edges without completely changing the style of the weapon.

Yea actually I am. Thats wild, I'd never considered that as being a possible factor in how I color my graphics, but it makes sense.

There are settings you can, and are supposed to, adjust so that it meets a standard. x_x...

I've never heard of these settings, would you mind sharing this information with me please?

Also Demisis had merely made a speculation. My settings might not be messed up at all :)

Although if there are standards in place then It is doubtfull that I meet them. I just adjusted my settings until it felt right x_x .

It's called a color profile, and then you have your volley of tests check if those settings are tuned right.
