4 players come on! problem solver...

We really need something new, easy to do, and cool quite recently, there were only 4 players on afew hours ago, now 19.

Day is almost over in england.

We need something to get these people coming back and playing here!

Any suggestions on something short, cool, and quick that can provide at least a few hours amusement?

All my suggestions are too big and complicated for a small quick idea haha

Only thing i can think of, is maybe extend the world outwards a bit, give us more places to travel and sail, did you know every level has land on it? you could hardly call that the ocean, but still even that is fairly large

Maybe just a few scattered islands, with new monsters like cyclopses and stuff, for the higher leveled players.

we are ever so bored 1 hit KO'ing these monsters all the time.

Lord's should be boosted and should only be killable by 5 man teams ;)

Then people would be leveling like mad, and I quote from another thread
"The game is not built for level 110".

How about having a 5-minute window when rocks give dias (100% Chance) and some monsters drop rares. (30%-80% Chance, depending on monster, e.g. Shell Bomy-30% Cyclops 80%)

I take it you've not had much experience with setting drop rates properly. At any rate, none of the current monster stuff will probably get changed. If anything, there'd just be a new set released.

If this were any other server, that'd be true. However, Kingdoms' engine mimics that of another engine, so yeah, it sort of is built for level 110.

myth-simba 09-08-2006 07:41 PM

well

new monsters aught to be a definate, and ones that don't just die by slashing.

i'm talking boss monsters, like that frozen iceman we witnessed on xmas, where you evade its attacks until you have a chance to strike.

and maybe a quest to kill one of these, where the monster is really difficult to kill where you need friends to help.

Two new ships, made my groups.

Frigate- This ship is quite simple really, in effect you will stretch the middle of a regular ship and add three guns on each side. It will have 120% speed, and 550% hull points. The sails will be two small ones, and a large one in the middle. Made by grabbing the build tool(pops up a menu to click and select a ship). The requirements should be 50 iron nails, 200 boards, and 30 iron bars.

Dreadnaught- The largest, most powerful ship on the seas. Made the same way as the frigate. She carries 5 guns on each side, but moves at 85% speed, but has 700% hull points. A deadly vessal.Made by grabbing the build tool(pops up a menu to click and select a ship). The requirements should be 50 iron bars, 350 boards, 50 iron bars.

Also: Make all cannons aimable(like a bow, exactly like a bow) where you grab it and it acts like a bow. Make it much less accurate though.

MasterNuke 09-08-2006 08:19 PM

Learn to consolidate all of your ideas into one thread imo

lordbosh 09-08-2006 08:20 PM

I like it. Perhaps also consider a Caravel with few or no guns and less hull strength, but much quicker speed.

lordbosh 09-08-2006 10:06 PM

Sloop- The fastest ship in the fleet. Capable of small supply running and blockaid evasion. Good for also escorting VIPs to hot war zones. A fast ship, but with little armament and crew. Good for group convoy running as well.(Half as long as our current ships, and narrow)

Specs- Hull:40% Speed:200% Armament:1 gun on front.
Materials - 10 nails, 40 boards, 3 logs.

Barque- A more powerful fast ship. Still fairly small, but has enough firepower to do a bit more damage. Useful for running down sloops, or evading blockaids and outrunning bigger ships. (looks like a narrow version of our current ships and just as long.)

Stats: Hull:50% Speed:175% Armament: 2 guns on either side.
Materials- 15 nails, 60 boards 5 logs.

Blockaid Runner- Special ship for kingdoms. Carries 3 guns and is fairly well armored and quick. Perfect for running blockaids or attacking large groups of ships.

Specs- Hull:75% Speed:150% Armament: 2 guns on side, 1 gun on front.
Materials- 30 nails, 60 boards, 10 logs.

Cargo Ship- The basic ship that can be made that we currently have. No changes except gun scripts for better fighting.

Frigate- This ship is quite simple really, in effect you will stretch the middle of a regular ship and add three guns on each side. One gun on the front.

Specs: Hull:500 Speed:125 Armament: 7 Guns.
Materials: 35 iron bars, 100 boards, 10 logs.

Dreadnaught- The largest, most powerful ship on the seas. Made the same way as the frigate, but is black, a bit wider to support the quad gun front, longer to suppport the quad gun sides. The cannons of this ship are extremely accurate and can fire at extreme ranges.

Specs- Hull:750 Speed:75 Armament: 12 Guns.
Materials:50 iron bars, 350 boards, 15 logs.

Atlas Class Super-Dreadnaught- For all respects the Dreadnaught IS the largest ship on the seas. But there is one ship that is a prototype. Each kingdom would be able to make ONE of these ships to sail at a time. It can carry an entire kingdom with it. And for a good reason.

Specs- Hull:2500 Speed:50(when your this big, speed is pointless, set her on cruise) Armament: 30 Cannons. 10 Cannons per side, 5 on the front. 5 on the rear behind the captain's reinforced cabin in the center of the ship. The command center flies the national flag.
Materials: 500 Nails, 500 Stone, 1000 Boards, 100 Logs.

You know, its always the same kind of people who say stuff like this. People who cant be bothered to work hard to get good. They want to make diamonds easy, they want to level up fast.
Everyone who is level 110 had to work at it, It didnt just happen over night. And rich people had to earn there stuff.. I wasnt born with my Inferno Sword. I had to get the diamonds to buy it.
Why dont you do what everyone else does and just get on with it instead of moaing about making ways so people like you can get rich in an instant.

Also if diamonds were that easy to get, they wont be worth much.. The prices of items will increase and the econamy will get blown away.

Its really easy to get dia fast if you work you it.

Magadal 09-09-2006 11:32 AM

Kingdoms need more quests. The only real quests are the starting quests x-x

Hahahahaha don't make me laugh. We all know half of our 110's used bugs. ::waits for Googi's remarks::

Gothika 09-09-2006 05:10 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about the party glitch.. Well anyway, some people worked hard to get it.

Raziel 09-09-2006 07:41 PM

Even the party glitch didn't level people to 110 overnight. That too was a lot of hard work...teamwork at that.

To tell you the truth, it should be re introduced into the game if we can find a way to nerf it a bit and make sure people actually use teams (not just an extra account)

I'm sure some very simple protocol could be set up to compare IPs or computer IDs.

What about people who a bothers and live under the same roof? They will have the same IP.

Lylic 09-09-2006 09:29 PM

Each computer has a unique IP. Although youre ISPs will be the same, your IPs will not be. Although they will appear to be strikingly similar.

Magadal 09-12-2006 03:19 PM

Different computers ftw.

Admins 09-13-2006 12:01 AM

Yes new monsters & puzzles in new quests

Draenin 09-13-2006 12:04 AM

Stefan, though I know you love some of the monsters I've seen so far, you should really ask some artistic players to help out with new sprites. Most can work within the limitations of the ganis.

Surprisingly enough, our developers would consider that. Which is also why I mentioned computer IDs, each computer has a unique ID.
