Tileset Rate
 

Hi.

Would you guys mind rating this tileset on a 1-10 scale, please. Be honost. I personally love this tileset, but once in a while random people logon and claim it's ugly. What could be changed to make it better? What's good?

The three things I notice that aren't too great about this tileset:

1. the grass is repetitive in an ugly way. It's too finely detailed for a single tile + graal isn't that detailed so it doesn't match.

2. the chairs are a terrible color of brown. it doesn't match any other browns at all in the tileset and it's also shaded with pillow shading which makes it look blurred out and amateur looking

3. you didn't bother to lay the new grass tile underneat the objects like mushrooms, plants, edges of cliffs, etc

Thanks for the comments. I'll actually show my Graphics Admin this and he will modify it. I'll eventually post an improved version using your comments as ideas. :)

Good to see someone who can handle negative criticism (even though it's not your own work). I also agree to all three of the points already stated. But, I don't fully agree with the whole "it's too detailed for Graal" bit.

I agree with that and also some of the tiles don't match in contrast with the other one. (As in brightness)

Lol, I think it's terrible and I was the one making it back when. Do something new and original.

And get rid of those chairs as I said before, whoever made those didn't do well with any of the GFX for DN.

It was Fierce (ssgohan87). I like those chairs, they go well with some inside levels.

Thhe grass is ok but you would need alot more 'other' grass tiles to go with it. I also love the pruple trees ;o

I like the tree's also, but those are NPC Images, which were made by Stokell.

I think the grass would look fine if you added sand paths and water :O
