My Tileset
1 Attachment(s)
Well, I'm working on a whole new tileset for a project and I was wondering if you could give me advice on what to do, what to remove, etc?
The problem is, I look at it and go "Wtf went wrong?" because the end product looks ten times worse than I expected. I was just wondering what I should edit/change. This tileset is for a fantasy world. |
I see you've improved alot Codein. The tileset is pretty nice...it has a "happy" feeling to it. ^^

Try and make the grass a little smoother :p

Very oldschool-looking.

I think the trees stand out a bit more over the rest because they are well detailed, guessing your strong point is more natural objects than others.
the house tiles look generally buttonised, and would had probably looked good zoomed in and when you came out, it was'nt so good. Hmm, it doesnt feel to be the same tileset if you get what i mean, youve changed the styles a bit much. id improve the house more though, thats probably the main problem, look around at other pixeled stuff, like other bricks. I love the trees though, really awesome. |
Thanks for all your suggestions, fellas.

lookin good

Yeah I forgot to say...The grass looks a bit repetative, try to study the seems in the tile and figure out where the weak points are in it and add a different color there.

Looks like a GBA game :P

I think you went wrong on the path, lol. Try to make the Grass smoother as well (I agree with that.)
You may think otherwise, but I really like it. |
