Some of my 3d stuff

The 2 first pictures here where made for a forum competition where you get 1 hour to model something within a topic. texturing and lighting has no time limit.
I have never won, but I got on 2nd once and 3rd some times.

This was just something I started, my desk irl, but I got tired of it, so I didn't make everything:

This is Dr.Wily from Megaman, I just tried to make a low-poly model of him, it's like 1500 polys:

This is what I am working on now, a boba fett model, will eventually make a bone system and stuff so I can animate him:

btw, I haven't got Gold, so I can only post once every 8 hour or something...

It's also kinda funny cause the image on the monitor is him making the image of the desktop...Wrap your minds arround that!

Anyways, I really like your work. Did you have any trouble making that jigsaw taxi cab? Looks a little complex.

Zero Hour 08-03-2006 03:48 PM

I really like that first one, with the windmills. It's cute [:

Draenin 08-03-2006 04:35 PM

Wow, the Dr. Wily one is fun. I would love to see a high-poly one of that.

Elk 08-03-2006 04:35 PM

Taxi, Boba and the Windmill are my favorites :)
I wish I could do something like that

killerogue 08-03-2006 04:39 PM

You would if you would try and learn. ~.~

Elk 08-03-2006 07:41 PM

Infernix 08-03-2006 09:31 PM

I wonder what type of computer this guy has O_o. Why doesnt Stefan or someone pay this guy to develop graal3d. Cause whoever made the 3dart last time for them sure did suck.

killerogue 08-03-2006 09:51 PM

Trifle works on one of the new 3D Servers. :(

if the image of the monitor inside the monitor werent blank, then id wonder. But its all easy enough to take a screenshot and replace the texture on the screen at a later stage with the screenshot of a rendered image, i can see that the texture you replaced was originally a black one ;-)

nice work

alarid0 08-04-2006 02:22 AM

Redwizard 08-04-2006 02:26 AM

Thanks for all the comments, rude of me not to thank earlier, but it's been quite busy at school. Well, here is a little thingy I made while I was at a friends house the other day, some of the ppl that plays graal classic might recognize it.

Demisis_P2P 02-17-2007 04:47 AM

For some reason I was expecting the images to pop out of the screen at me or something :{
I even put on my 3D movie glasses.

But yeah... nice work, even though it doesn't pop out.

I'd also like to know what software it is that you use ^^

trifle 02-17-2007 03:24 PM

hehe, thanks :P
It's not low poly btw Stephen, so it's not a special render, it's a skylight and 1 direct light in scanline with 3d studo max 8

Hmm.. I am not sure Galdor, I have worked very closely with alot of backstage referance pictures and stuff, and I think most of my messurements are right, it might actually just be my camera settings. Thanks for the crit though. I will take a closer look later today.

Galdor 02-26-2008 03:26 PM

Boba Fett isn't really a action hero. He's a bounty hunter.
