Since one has not being opened by konidias, I'd figured I'd post this thread! And then reap all the benefits that entails! Er.. in any case, I'll start us off with some pretty simple things.

Auction House
Please make this an event at a certain time every day, or a couple of times per day. People will be able to put an item into the auction house, setup the starting bid, and the time they want to put it on for, so for example, AH event happens at 12 PM and 8 PM. I log on at 1 AM, go to the auction house, and put up my SuperAwesomeBatofBatting at a starting bid of 100 gralats for the 8 PM Auction. The next day I log on at 1 AM, and see if the item sold, if it did, the revenue is given to me, and if you wish you can substract perhaps 5% for the auction house fees or something.

A suggestion for the auction house:

Make it so more than one thing can be auctioned, maybe have seperate rooms where the auctions take place? That way there will be a better chance of someone being able to actually auction off something instead of seeing that someone has already reserved it when they get there. Also, I like the idea of having it at certain times per day and it would be nice if multiple items could be auctioned. For example, when you go to an auctionhouse they most likely are not going to auction only one item, they have several lots of items set up to auction and they go down a list. So I think a good idea would be to have a maximum number of auctions per room for a given time. For example, say there will be 10 different lots that will be auctioned, not only 10 different items. In each lot a person may put any number of items they choose up to a limit and they can only have one spot for that auction time. Maybe limit to 5 different items? ie: 4 gold ore, 5 zelat ore, 3 coal, 2 derby and 1 gold hammer would be 5 different items (quantity of each item can be whatever the seller chooses). As for letting them have another slot in a different room, that's debatable.

Well I go to auctions IRL like every week, and basically the auctions I go to are for stuff that people are just wanting to get rid of no matter what they sell for. Of course you can put a reserve on an item but that is just annoying for most bidders.

I'm going to work it out better so that it will run more like an actual auction. With the whole lots thing and going through the list of lots. Auctions *will* be held at certain times and not every day either. I'll run it like the auction by my house where it runs like 2-3 times a week. The times might vary for each day though, since I'd like to make sure people in different timezones can be on during at least one per week.

I'm not sure about multiple auctions at the same time though, that could be confusing and spread things too thinly. I'll set it up so that the items automatically get placed for auction, and when someone wins, it automatically gives the item to them instead of having to drop them and pick them up and stuff.

Okay, sounds like a good idea. I can't wait to see it :D
