New x/y warper.
 

(Forgive me if this is on the wrong section of the forums)

Some GP and admins might notice a new x/y warper has come out and alot of people are using them (being a GP on Maloria, I've noticed them since we've had 3 people caught and banned for using them in the last 4 days).

Maloria has ways of auto jailing the trainer users, but the smart ones get away. :frown: If you are an admin on a playerworld, I suggest you start using scripts for auto jailing items on walls and such, considering catching someone using an x/y warper is difficult. Just a friendly advice ^^

Ahh, those were the days.. apparently.

You (read: Maloria's scripters) could make a script that keeps track of how many pixels a player is away from the last time the script looped, and send a message to RC when they move too far (just make sure it notices when they change level). Unless you have ganis on Maloria that send you flying half way across the level or something.

Someone complained to me saying he was unfairly banned because he didn't realize he was hacking (he went on to say he downloaded it from a site with the word cheat in it). I ruined his life and I am the meanest person in the world and he hates me and I stole his money because I won't unban him and he is going to sue Graal.

Oldest trick in the book. However, there are faults to that idea.

Anyway, the biggest problem with an auto jailer on walls is the problems with warps.
Sometimes players get warped onto walls for no real reason whatsoever (although I havn't seen that happen for a long while). Also, staff may warp them up there accidentally. Of course, you could do something like a three strikes, your out, along with some timer that would log how long they were on the wall, and if they were moving on it. Then a gp could check that and ban them, or if they are able to move on the wall, auto jail them from there. I'll look into is a bit ^^

Really? I was threatened by someone's "father" because I banned his account for using 3 different programs at one time on Era. Shortly after he offered me $7 to unban his account. :cool:

It was my brother on my account! I beat him up and told him not to do it again, plz unban me!

As GP chief on maloria we have noticed this yes, the latest was dumb enough to use it while in jail with me sitting there watching, so this was no accident.

Same for the other 2, but ignorant and thought that touching the door would warp them to the mainhouse :rolleyes: .

Is it the certain "X" website which I won't post within this thread the whole entire name because it's illegal!

You can detect it within server options?
