Much needed revamps and additions. (LIST, and HELP please!)
 
I need everyone on GK to help me with this. There are many revamps and additions that many of you may agree or disagree with that I am about to post here. I need everyone to take a good look at this list and help me get staff to make a few additions that are indeed important. I have posted these on another topic that was closed.

I really think this is something every Kingdoms player should see and think about.

These are the things that GK needs but I still need your input:
•A fix for the freaking bald selection that disallows you to select hair again.
•Dual Weilding. (cmon, theives need awesome starting skills aside from steal)
•Two-Handed Weaponry. (w/o shield, sacrifice defense for power)
•Variety in Crossbows. (that way my bolts would have a use)
•Mithril is supposed to allow you to move faster, not slower.
•New drops; rings, wands, necklaces etc...
•New monsters!!! New MONSTERS!!
•Day/Night system. How long was that going to be disabled for?
•Destruction needs to be fixed. (no animation)
•Rune of death needs to be able to damage something, anything.
•Perceive self needs to be a spell.
•^Charging too. I need to recharge wands on demand!
•Xray and Dust of Visibility could work if someone could actually use the "hide" skill.
•Dirigibles should really have more hp, they die so fast.
•More haunted houses.
•Giant bats should be added so we could make Balm of Flying.
•more gems and minerals means more crafting.
•fix elevators in stone mine
•jumping can be bound and actually lets you jump
•female zombie clothes
•newbie quest should not refer to a "corn seed" because that item does not exist anymore
•fix summon cult monsters (summon pet monster that uses grace instead) i heard somewhere sam was working on it
•dianchect's player ability "holy glow" should glow

I am sure there are more that you can think of too. Possibly more that I haven't been able to remember.

Again please give me your input and help me help the kingdoms staff. I hope that we can give staff a little boost of inspiration with this thread!

**ADDING to CLM list

* Brigid spells are still a bloody mess
- Insect plague needs new targetting system
- Avatar is TOO fast for its own good, cant even hit things because it runs past them
- what good is sanctuary if thats the only thing you can cast, it does not last long enough, it wouldnt be so bad if it lasted longer with higher wisdom.
* Aengus bow doesn't work still (was this mentioned yet?)
* Since when must a Mage eat excessive amounts of food to be powerfull
* Boats keep getting players stuck in really odd places
* Fix your event system, I dont see events much anymore.
* make the redirectors destroyable befor I mess up your town of bomboria for hours on end.
* can read scrolls to cast spells in no spell casting areas
* how about a no pk rule for trade building and the tavern?
* disable create food tree seed, that just is annoying
* active staff to find bugs that I did not mention?
* What good is holy prayers without unholy mosters?? (Bile doesnt count)

If you cant post find me in game and tell me of some bugs, I can add to the list if its important. I wont be posting any comments for you though.
**if you really want I can get my translator out and put this in some crude German text instead.

True Draenin. Someone was asking how to get a hat that gives benefits to a primary mage class. Truth is that there is not one. You either have to be part of an event or get lucky and find someone selling an old droppable one. I think maybe the YARN should be utilized in more than just five items. Maybe make a hat shop that doesn't sell just defensive armors. Sure the value of certain hats would decrease but there would be the option to create even more alchemy right there!

All of the mage hats now pretty much grant the same abilities as the next one. Magic +1. So I don't really see why the items should not be craftable since they don't grant much armor or armor class as normal craftable helmets do.

Yeah i so agreee with all of this,
*fix or make the egg gani-seeing numbers for 5 er 10 minutes is a sight fer sore eyes
* more event items, i undertsand this was mentioned BUT i'm kinda tired of seeing bosh blind me with his golden glory,a nd those blood Paladin items, only sseen em once, never again.

Yarn should really be made to be used in more things. I use a witch hat most of the time which is an old event item from a past Halloween thing. I think since it's really not particularly fantastic and actually pretty generic (stat and weight-wise) that hats of this nature should really be craftable. Yarns are pretty tough to get but not too tough.

The real thing is monsters though. There are certainly not enough monsters in the game, at the same time there are too many. The bomys vary in shape and size but are the same and drop the same items. There is only one variation of wolf. One variation of undead. Four variations of Eavils which is actually fantastic. I love going into the maps just to see the monster variations in there. I kinda wish rexes didn't only appear in four spots in the underground dungeon. The ONLY way to kill a red rex though, is to go into a map. This sits just fine with the majority of the players. I of course love it too. I even love how the locations are random and the quantities are random. Maps are great but there needs to be more monsters and more maps to boot.

Much of the Alchemy calls for parts that do not exist. Gods have opposing forces that do not exist. Sure I can slay all the giant monsters I want with Govannon and all of the Demons I want with Dianchect. Killing the opposing player of an opposing god is always fun of course. But let us not forget the PvE players too! There is no doubt mountains of things PvE players can already do. Asking for more seems to be almost rude but they are also the things I discuss with the players on Kingdoms. It's not just me that wants to have my Slay Dragon arrows actually have something to target... it is all of us.

I don't mind that this may take a while to get a few of these things done. But they are much needed.

I would really like any staff to comment on this as well. I know that you are working hard not only for kingdoms but for all of the servers. A little more attention to kingdoms might even be last on your list. But it feels long overdue.

I saw something about a whip mentioned. I think a whip would be good for Personality trait. Whip them into submission to calm them (or rile them up!) and then uset that skill to charm them.

I was thinking just now how cool it would be to have more skills under the personality tree. Such as Make monster hide, make monster attack, make monster use its' special ability, and so on. Praying and Wizardry obviously have been totally revamped recently and don't think the players like myself have not noticed your super hard work guys!

Anyways keep posting ideas!! I really like your input everyone!

... more than half the "needed" things mentioned in this thread aren't important.

Things that are important:
--Balance the system.
--Fixing Bugs.
--Create and release new content. (Monsters, items, dungeons, quests, etc.)

Things that can wait till after the above:
--New types of weapons
--blahblahblah half the things mentioned in this thread.


I don't mean fixing 1 bug a month. I mean GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR AND FIX THEM ALL IN ONE MONTH.
I don't mean lets improve mages but then nerf them again because we didn't change physical combat. I mean REVAMP EVERYTHING AT ONCE AND HAVE THE PEOPLE ON DEBUG TEST IT THROUGHLY.
I don't mean spend 3 months making a damn chicken. I mean GET SOME COMPETANT STAFF TO DESIGN AND CREATE A REAL LENGTHY DUNGEON, PREFERABLY FOUR TO SIX TIMES BIGGER THAN A HAUNTED HOUSE.

Dayaa wasn't the first, CLM copied and pasted the bullet character, she didn't use the list tag.

Sadly, I couldn't agree more with Ed.
GK badly needs to see some serious development work.
That isn't to say it isn't being done, it just that -nobody- on GK sees any of it if it does exist. True, the magic system took a lot of work and was a very welcome change, but it came with swarms of bugs itself. (And even with the new sys, magic was still nerfed compared to phys, espeially with the curious lack of decent aoe 'cept spiderweb and the fact that anything can interrupt spell casting now) but I won't go there.
The point of the matter is: the players need to see more develoment work. (AND have it in a positive direction, not the added ability to grow flowers. woo)

As for what Draenin said - personally I think everything in the game should be findable/craftable. Doesn't mean things can't be rare (as the golden unicorn horn artifact from crossfire), but that way everyone has a chance to get them, even if it takes a long time.
And yes, GK needs more monsters too. There's enough to comfortably level to a skill to around lv 20, but after that its just grinding lords for hours on end.
I swear, graal's official server has the least content of any MMO I've ever seen. and that includes the one I saw written in qBasic a few years back.
