Getting Any Better?
 

I personally think that i've been getting alot better at shading as days go by. I've been trying out a few different techniques and seemed to have gotten better at choosing my colours :). Here are a few of my recent graphics, what do you think?

Its a jackhammer, like construction workers use for tearing up cement roads...I made it for a server to use for mining...it pictured as being a pogo stick at the same time so players can ride it around. :P

You need to learn about sprites. Otherwise, looks nice for a starter :)

I know how to do sprites...I just did all the sprites like that to show what it was supposed to look like...I could reduce the sprites to a quarter size of that sheet.

Suggestion for the guitine, though?
Even without seeing it animated I can tell it won't look right. When it falls, it won't look like it's falling...instead like its just being moved.

It's moving at a constant speed instead of accelerating.
distance between frame 1 and 2 will be less than distance between frame 2 and 3 etc

Know what I mean? Otherwise I could animate it myself to show you

Hm. Stan wants to get better. But he needs much practice. :(

Mh...the colors are a little bit too dark on the guillotine and the wooden bed. Or maybe the white background is to bright. I like them.

It's just recolored.

Uhhh...actually no its not =/ I did it all by myself...if you look close, it is a bit bigger and the shading is a bit different. I did use the same technique as him for the shading though. But thanks for thinking its a recolor...It must be good if you think that ^ ^

That's a good thing though..That means its good because I didnt just recolor it. Obviously if im trying to replicate something its going to look alike.

Sage, very nice work. If you're graphics would be a person... they would be (thinks really really hard) That redhead from the *****cat Dolls; Nice at first glance but still needs a little bit of makeup and a nip tug here and there.

I dislike you for one reason only, and that was because the last time I saw you on Graal you stole graphics from my server and I later found out (thanks to Tom) that you were using them on another server, claiming you made them.

Doesnt mather how good of a graphic I see that *you* made, I will never compliment it untill you confess what you did and maybe, just maybe, appologize to Jer who made the graphic.

He stole the character sprites that Jer was working on for the old Mythic, yes. Might´ve stolen some more stuff too, dont know.

Maybe if you would tell me what the hell graphics you are talking about, I would maybe consider apologizing if I even did it. =/

Ive told Jer to post here to tell you himself. The thing is, after you stole the sprites and uploaded on another server (Eden if I remember correctly, dont hate me if im wrong) - another graphics artists continued to work on the sprites. Now, several people are claiming that THEY made the sprites.

You can chose to belive me and Jer (who will post his story soon hopefully) if you want too, but all I can say is that I KNOW that he made them since he were showing me the graphic as he made more too it.

This all happened max. 6 months from now, I could find it out if necessary.
