Attacktypes?
 

It'd be nice to see some attacktypes other than fire, electricity, and cold, as well as ways of putting them in game (new monsters or spells?), or will they forever be 'concepts'?

Depletion - Are bile blessed weapons supposed to drain food when you're hit with them?

Fear - I guess this works on spells, I worship bile (+100 fear resist), but this is what usually happens. Somone casts fear on me, I see "XYZ's fear of Govannon crushes you", and oh joy, 1/3rd of my HP is gone. When you are hit with a weapon blessed to Leuc it'll do added damage and say something like "XYZ causes sparks to jump off your body". Shouldn't my balor blessed weapon do added damage to those without fear resist (and say something like "Luigi203 scares the hell out of you"), and rape those who bless brigid and have resist fear -100.?

Confusion - Was this ever meant to do anything helpful? I think its on Aengus weapons.

Acid - I guess it'd be cool to see a spell that put this to use.

Turn Undead - What the hell is that?

Slow - Only if this worked...

Ghosthit - If only there were ghosts..

Paralyze - The spell does nothing, it'd be kind of cool to see it on a weapon.

Drain - Something else Bile give perfect resistance against, once again, what is (or what was) this supposed to do?



Also, the slay attributes of weapons.. when you Worship Gov, you, become a Dwarf in some twisted way, no? Then should Ogma blessed weapons with slay dwarf on it be more effective against those who worship Gov or Aengus? Same with DianCecht and Balor..

In order:
Confusion, in Crossfire I believe, would cause your controls to change until it wore off.
Acid DID have a big, BIG effect. Then people whined about Zoe and Vitriol, so it got supernerfed.
Turn Undead SHOULD work like Destruction, with limited targets
Slow...should be working. I don't know why it never did.
Ghosthit...well, that was special. I swear the Zormite Blade originally had ghosthit.
Paralyze would be hard to balance.
Drain would probably have leeched HP

You learn a whole lot on GK. It's nice to know that some of those stats I didn't understand I know understand slightly more. It'd be nice to find a little bit more about it from long time players. :\

If only these were to be (re)implemented to the game...

Not too long ago a Brigid worshipper hit me with holy word (I worship bile). My max HP is 287, and I was left with about 50 hp. I'm just saying, shouldn't my bile (or balor) blessed weapons rape him back?

See, I hear "bless" I think "blessed weapon".

And no, they shouldn't. Bile gives WONDERFUL powers and blessings that are already quite effective against everything else. Now quit whinning because the element that was built to counter you can actually counter you.

No, I'm whining because my element to counter Brigid does absolutely nothing.
