Newbs oldbies, anyone with complaints about GFX, server updates, etc. check this out
You know I've heard a lot of whiners lately, and people sayin its gona go bye-bye to GK and a few other servers, well peeps, i hate to break it to ye, BUT if its ANYONES fault for lack of GFX updates new stuff ETC> it is...YOUR OWN. Graal is a MMORPG, which means (forgot the first M, i think massive) Multiplayer oline, and RPG you should know, also Graal became a hit at Cyberjoueur(ahh the good old days) BECAUSE the players and peole had the control. Sooo, If you want updates and changes MAKE them, Bon Jovi, didn't become a rockstar sitting around whining, Clint eastwood didn't become a sharp shooter complaining that the guns he had wern't what he wanted, so make these changes you want to happen happen.
|
why are you whining then?
"good old days" "Joined Date: Jan 2006" hmmm |
who are you anyways.
Besides, bon jovi or whatever didnt have his entire band holding him down, ya know? |

I was there when you ahd to download like the hole section of GFX, i was there with graal 200, i was there when you could make a dude on the website, to see what it'd look like before you actually played as it, the whole nine yards |
dude you started when there actually were trial accounts
you know nothing of 'the good old days' the only people i'd think would MAYBE know are those of us who were around before p2p existed |
KK wel I was talking about the good old days that I knew, i never had money at 11, or otherwise i woulda paid Cyberjoueurs BUT anyways ignore thta comment PLS, Seriously thought people need to start to work if they want changes, things don't come by chnace or luck, NEVER you gotta make it ahppen. You have to have the confidence, will, power, and determination to make it happen.

yeah, i didn't have much access to computer, i also was apparently undiagnosed ADHD, but never noticed by people before, so i never had thre patience to read, sounded like a kid cruisin off of 50 cappacinos. I just got grounded a lot for downloading and our computer was like a 94, so i'm suprised at this poi9nt, the thing still ran.
|
you got in trouble for downloadin?
i bet i know what you were downloading. :) |
after 1-2 weeks of playing graal, i became totally addicted ;)
now i ask myself " why am i still playing this game?" |
I dont think i understand whats going on in this thread anymore
|
YEA WOOT, actually back when we had trial accounts were still the good old days, atleast for me because thats when I started to actually idk branch out on graal even though I started when it was free. Back when I didnt have a computer and went to my dads job to play a ****load of games online including graal.
|
Hmm... this topic was a nice waste of my time.
|
I'll never forget the day my account stopped 'saving'. I was a sad little N-pulsian.

Ok, someone give Tails Night a cup off instant attention he clearly yerns for some. Anyhow we pay to be able to play on graal. Graal happens to have developed into a game which allows player interaction in the form of game(server) creation. Graal does notting to little to promote their "game engine" so not much talented game makers are drawn to it. Simple as that.
And what exactly is the point of this thread other than... idle talk? |

Graal is an awsome game, and I'm tired of whiners like you complaining about it's current state. If there are so many peolpe on the different servers, doesn't that tell you that the people like the variety? Graal's user base is growing because there's something at Graal for everyone (and soon there will even be 3d). You want to know something cool about Graal? Player involvement. Don't like Graal the way it is? Make your idea of the perfect server. Make it good enough, and people will flock to it. Will everybody? No, that's just the way things are. But with the number of playerworlds, you at least know that there's a large amount of people who will see your server. Want more people on Graal and your server? Advertise on your own! Graal relies on word of mouth (which as a business major, I hate this) however, this is how they've choosen to do this, so maybe you can do your part, and recruit a few noobs. At least let Graal be as efficient as it can. Peer pressure is quite powerfull ;) So quit complaining, that's the point of this thread. Wake up and smell the roses, you have the power to make Graal better, do it, instead of whining. |

People are not going to come to a new game with the intention of helping it, they come to play and enjoy playing the game. |
You see rufus(you stupid shinra, xD), p-layers have to do this well because we start to gte those admins who become, inactive, lazy, start to decline, but can't finda ny replacements for fear of their entire effort being screwed, umm having admins that are complete jerks, or maybe its just that admins and other of the origonal staff eventually grow, and can't really spend as much time as they used to, besides, if ANYONE wants sumthing done right these days, well, they have to do it for themsleves. So THATS why we players have to or at least try to make differences and changes.

FIRST OFF MISTER I'm complaining because of other peoples complaining, if I wanted to make changes about that, then i'd go around america find everyoe who complains about Graal, yet still plays it, and break every one of there fingers and their jaws to stop it. and secodnly you don't see amny of my works because they still in progress,
SECOND OFF you clearly have no knowledge of the 80's, or are just plain ignorant, because they were described as they era of "sex, drugs, and Rock and roll" then please explain to me how I'm complaining, i'm jsut tired of idiots posting trivial subjects that ahve no matter to the topic?? |
i compared bon jovi to britney spears yesterday
|
I think a big part of it is that people who used to develop for Graal previously did so because it was a community effort. Now Graal charges people to develop and to play, and those people who previously developed have mostly found better things to do (things they don't only have to pay to do, but get paid TO do) with their time, efforts, and talents.

I'm willing to wait, and improve what I can for now, my playerworld. |
Wait...it's the PLAYERS fault that 2k2 is never updates?
Could you clear up the logic on that for me? Why is it the players fault that they're not making content for the server that the game actually uses for revenue...isn't that why we're paying them to play it? Someone certainly seems to be confusing a run-for-profit business with some kind of collaborative community volunteerism. While Graal has a few aspects of the latter, it is still most asuredly the former. |

But yeah, developement isn't for everyone, I see what you're saying there. But you still can make suggestions. If they don't use your ideas, then they may not be popular enough, or they may be hard to implement. |
excalibur, all the benefits of being able to develop stuff on Graal are true and I once agreed with you, but then I decided that making a big, decent game would be impossible by myself or would take a really long time.
Now I, and many others, are looking at this in a player's position. I'm P2P, paying to play. And the problem is, there is too much develop and not enough play. The ideal situation would be to have all the playerworlds as they are now, but have at LEAST one good playerworld with quests and actual game elements. And it was like that once. Graal The Adventure had so much time and effort put into it over the years, that I could spend several hours going through the quests, world, and actual gaming elements, while still going to other worlds to check out what was new in development. But now classic is dead and the server browser is a barren wasteland of projects in development that will most likely never reach completion. |

Yes like ted said, most projects look like they'd never be completed, and honestly thats true, which is why I think many people should at least put some effort into helping tie these loose ends, take on GK for instance, everyones confused and stuff on what fairies, angels, goblins etc. types were, well they WERE supposed to be sumthing, but, as Shaun said either the developers don't have time to complete these, lost interest, or basically they just stopped.
Then like what some people have said or sort of implied, one man can't really do everything. So, I'm just hoping that instead of some people sitting around waiting for something or complaining that it hasn't happen, some of these or other people will all strive together to help make them happen, thats really all I'm trying to say here. P.S. ApothiX, Eastwood didn't make his own guns, he made sure they had the right gun. |

The problem is that Cyberjourers has their cake (p2p) and wants to eat it too (not work on graal, freeloading on other people's content.) Can't have it both ways. |
