Bounty Hunter for era
 

I dont mean a guild or clan, i mean an underground place, with a little man behind glass who you ask who needs hitting.

He gives you the picture, you go find the person and kill em.

In Era, this would be an NPC which is randomly roaming in a building or down a street. Return with a photo of the person you killed as proof, claim your prize.

Now that, would rule :D ...well its a small interesting addition to blow some brains.

This would mean to expand the player-bounty to an npc-bounty system though, kinda like a mission?

I had this idea for Ol' West back in the day. Basically, the NPC assigns a person based off of their "pk rating," or how many people they have killed since their logon. Killing more would make it more likely for you to be picked to be killed, and so on. If that person logs off, you simply have to go back to get someone else. Something else, I just thought of though, is that maybe you should have to pay a certain ammount to undergo the task. Say if you can't find / kill the person, then you aren't very good, and you aren't losing anything. Maybe you should have to pay anywhere from 10-75 for a map of where they are, or something of the sort, and if they logoff, your money is gone.

Not sure how scriptable this is, I do levels :[

use the bounty system from zones, modifying the money of course. maybe it picks the 5 people with the highest zones-style bounty and you can hunt them. or an npc running around the streets..

I think it's senseless for someone that has a bounty on them to collect a bounty though, don't you think? ;[

Bounty Hunters revolve mostly around justice, and the only way that can be done on Era is to have a select few able to use it. Current system is best.

Anyway yes.

This pretty copies Mission, though i'm up for this replacing mission idea. Though the bigger use for cars will decrease. (Other than speeding around and running over people).

Current system fails when you have bounty hunters that kill themselves if they're on the list to get the money.

Not to mention that i've placed several 2k+ bounties, none of which are completed.

Pretty sure you can't collect your own bounty without another account...
