Original idea for a biz
 

I would like to know more about new updates on Era and what staff are working on. what about you guys ? The server update screen misses a lot of smaller updates on Era. The Era updates guy infront of unstick me is impossible to read because you get killed every time you stop to read it. I think Era should have a newspaper biz. the owner would right a new paper once a week about new graal updates, gang activity and what staff are working on maybe people could pay the newspaper biz to put in an advertisement for their biz or selling something. Maybe the owner of the newspaper biz could buy newspaper vending machines and set them up around Era.

theres a lot you can do with the idea what do you guys think ?

The newspaper factory level was cool until etrican replaced it with the flower picking place. >:(

I don't know how to make a newpaper format lol, otherwise I wouldn't mind writing articles...

what ever happend to that guy? he was like lat for a week then disapeared..

Newspaper writing is just column writing and putting political views and stuff irl.
So follow that format as close as you can.

If staff makes a newspaper biz i wouldnt mind running it and writing articles.

No one would mine running it, genius, it's a position of respect. Volunteering for it is hardly the way to go about it.

A lot of updates are made to Era daily, unfortuneatly, some of them are unneeded for the time, and no one is ever notified.

I was considering a long time ago hiring someone to write about Era current events. They'd get paid $1000 a week and have a staff tag (ECE) for Era Current Events. They wouldn't get RC, but would be in close relation with staff.

Thats not worth the work

The work would take no more than 30 minutes if an admin is online for quotes and such. Plus, it's one and only sometimes more than that a week.

Of course, the catch is you must be literate and use AP style.

Hachi, how could we apply for this job? I have been in the writing industry, (writing online for Macintosh / tech websites) for approximately 3 years.

I just don't see why you cant have a simple website that someone updates periodictly (pretty sure I spelled that wrong lol) with new news and current events.

Well i've seen around on the forums and it's all mainly ideas to improve the realism of Era.

The newspaper thing is quite a cute little addon and I hate having to get rid of the bubble of the server pms by clicking it every time I sign on.

So yeah, newspaper would be a convenient idea.

Newspapers would be great and it could have advertisements and updates on how gangs are doing and just w/e that's going on in era. I think the newspapers would be much better if staff made them because players would be more baist then staff most likely unless Smu is making the newspaper x_x

Hm. Newspapers, a clever idea. I wish I were in Old Era because I've heard so much about it. Ah well, as for my opinion, I say that a newspaper might be a great idea, because I can't keep making side trips to Unstick to figure out when the mall opens up X_X

I agree. Let the NPC handle it, there's enough havoc on Era as it is.

Yea there were cool newspapers in old Era which was only 1 newspaper. In Aeon when the modern part was around, there were a few newspapers with stupid/ funny articles with pictures. :P
