Account renewell

I think that when you account run out of gold time, that if you want to play some more, they should keep your items in a log so when you come back you have all your items back, so you dont have to start off as a noobie. I have heard this happens already, but I dont believe it!

Mishra 05-08-2006 02:16 PM

You do keep your items if you reupgrade.

I don't think that is what he is saying. I think he is saying that if his account expires, he still wants to be able to use/keep the items he had when it expired, and use them, instead of being a complete newbie when he logs on.

I am pretty sure that when your account expires, your items remain.

Oh, I get it.

Wouldn't that just make accounts with gold pointless then? :frown:

No, because nothing saves that is done on the account after it expires.

No I mean, you said he wants to be able to use his items even after his gold time expires instead of being a total newbie like a classic account logging onto Graal Kingdoms is like right? Because if so, then it would be kind of pointless to reupgrade an account for gold time because you would still have your items even if you didn't have gold time.

All I know, is when I played Kingdoms with an expired gold account, I still had all my items, but nothing saved from the point that the account expired.
It would get on my nerves if I continually signed on, and I had to start over from the point that my account expired.
No items after that would be saved, my location I was at when I signed off would not be saved, no exp would be saved, no kills....nothing.

There also might be other limitations on gold servers when your account expires, I'm not sure.
It has been a long time since I played on Kingdoms on an expired account, things could have changed.
But I do know, that you do not lose your items when your account expires.

Well, assumed you have a gold account and among other things a Ring of Fighting in your inventory.
Now your account expires and you dont have the money to renew it.
In this case you're still able to log (as trial) into GK with your account. Your stats and items are not available for you.
One month later you get some platinums - pardon - some real money and buy new gold for your account and

tataaa

your old stats and your beloved Ring of Fighting are there as they was before. :)

Spiker 05-08-2006 10:20 PM

I mean your a noobie until you reupgrade

I do - but I'm afraid you misunderstood what the original post meant.

He's suggesting that, after the account expires the player keeps their items but cannot drop them, nor will he be able to gain new ones... until he upgrades again.

Didn't I say that:

One more time: as long as you are not a GOLD member you are just like any other trial player without any of your items or stats untill you buy new GOLD.
You are not able to drop any items, because you dont have them as long as you renewed your account. You dont can leave Bomboria to go to your house and so on.

After you buy GOLD again you get your last stats and items back from that day the account expires.

Read what's in bold. He's not asking what does happen, he's suggesting what should happen

Are you implying that you should get to play for free now?
As soon as you upgrade again, you will have all your items.

Graal would lose money if people were allowed to upgrade and play for that time, and then just continue on without ever paying again....how many would re-upgrade? Probably not many.

You have to look at it from a business point of view...

Welcome to Graal, you have a "classic" account.

Anyways, with that said - he's not saying full access, he's saying full access to READ your items, but not to write to them. You could use all of your old stuff but never give it away or get new stuff.

I still think it's a poor idea, though.

We aren't talking about classic accounts though, he is talking about Gold, and I know what he means, that's why I said Graal would lose money if people could upgrade, play on GOLD accounts for awhile, then not upgrade and still be able to use all the stuff you gained.
I guess I should have put the word "Gold" in my last post....

If your gold runs out, and you log onto GK, you will play as a trial account. Nothing you do will save, and each time you log on you must restart from anew. If you decide to re-upgrade your account to Gold status, whatever point you were at before your Gold ran out would be re-distributed to you, automatically, and you will be able to play, as you were, once again, before your Gold ran out.

Example:

Before Gold ran out:

Level 110 - Phoenix Set

Gold ran out:

Level 1 - Trial - No former items

After you re-upgrade your account back to Gold:

Level 110 - Phoenix Set (just like before)

I'm not sure if your account information is stored for X amount of time or if it is never removed/replaced, but this is how it has worked for quite some time now.

From what I've seen your time is kept even as a trial, though it cannot grow until you're a gold member again but you keep your time in your account information.

ok, thats what I was looking for Gambet

People explained that several times previous to Gambat's explaination - in fact, I was about to quick respond to Gambet saying it's been said before.

wtf.

Patience, Zero, patience.

You must clarify as much as possible when you know that the person you are speaking to is not understanding you.

I read each post in this thread before posting, and I could see that I needed to post a better, more direct, explanation, in hopes that he would understand it, in which case, he did.

I don't see why you're getting mad. Does it matter? Do you want me to help out some other forum go-ers and give you credit for it? What matters is that the person asking for help is receiving it. The person helping is not a factor so as long as they actually can help.

Relax, man.

Relax, man.

I'm not mad I'm just astonished that it had to be explained so simplistically.
