Alpha Blending

Ok, I know how to use alphablending (ex. make lights and stuff) but the hire the transparency, the brighter the image is =/
How do I make it transparent without it becoming bright?

From commands.rtf:

seteffectmode mode; changes mode of setcoloreffect of npc (0 - lights color +, 1 - transparency alpha blending, 2 - holes color -)

You want seteffectmode 1.

In simple terms

seteffectmode(0); Brighter //Defualt

seteffectmode(1); //Alpha Transparency (this is what you want I believe. It shows the transparecy so you can adjust the Alpha.)

seteffectmode(2); Darker // Make's Creepy colors ._.
