Cool :o

A few of those things at the top might be a little too small for some people to see what they're trying to explain. Bigger versions would be nice! Otherwise, cool stuff.

I hate dithering though, especially when it isn't nessisary. But that's probably just me ;x

Pixel art doesn't have that option, ever.

Concerning your lighting images, these are entirely useless without a brief explaination of light, and light theory etc. I'll refer, specifically, to the sphere which is highlighted slightly on the bottom - without knowledge of why this highlight is there the user will never know when to use it or not, etc.

i think it's there to make the object look more 3d/realistic...but i'm not sure i don't really pay attention in art class -_-

Depends on if they're on a reflective surface or not.

Lord Sephiroth 04-26-2006 04:48 AM

What are those three circles at the bottom showing?

newCappa 04-26-2006 08:21 AM

sweet!

They are showing anti alias, i need to make them bigger, but the one saying "Bad" is an example of pillow shading and the other one is showing how to smooth off a corner and not pillow shade.

Tom, I think st0ven would like credit for his work.

Tom 04-30-2006 01:29 PM

Very smart Mooman, majority of these images are from a certain website, which i cant try because we arent allowed to use external links. And i did actualyl state that i was getting images from around the net, and will also be contacting the creators.

I expect majority will be happy to see that their hard work may be helping others.

coreys 04-30-2006 03:55 PM

GASP! Tom did a no-no! Ah well, who cares? :)

Just make reference to the name or moniker the person goes by who created each piece. You should have done that to begin with.
