Hi, everyone.

I recently recoded all of Zodiac's systems. I urge everyone to jump on and play around, in order to help me flush out all the bugs and make a list of NPCs that were 'broken' by the new systems.
It's also a great chance for new players to get hooked on the server, since everyone was just reset.

The systems were done before I started helping Tom, there just wasn't much content to go with them.

Zodiac was the first server I ever worked on back in the day, then and now I still think its nothing new or special really.

Thats not to say it isn't well put together, it is.

It's a great server, it's just the matter weather you like them kinds of servers.

What else would you expect from Yen, undependable and untalented.

And yet, I know how to make a proper MUD library.

Yen is one of the most talented scripters I know, and I know quite alot, oddly enough. It's not him, he didn't create the server. And Foggles, I do like classic servers, Zodiac just doesn't really have anything that other classic servers do.

He's the best scripter in GS2 that I know of, but you can't get him to do anything unless you have some kind of leverage like a Webcam.

I would not call him the best, but he's very good.

But he's useless. Which makes him the worst.

He's not worthless, at least he wasn't on Maloria untill they fired him for a bull**** reason. He's a good resource for scripting help at the least. And you don't ALWAYS need a webcam to get him to do stuff.

He's not the best GS2 scripter though, he's one of them though, I'd say the best gs2 scripters that I know of are Napo, Inverness, Yen, and Moondeath. Other than that I don't know any more.

You obviously dont know yen that well then.

Thats simply because the other people who can do gs2, dont frequent the boards or places that people would find them, thats all.

He's probably okay when it comes to scripting tiny impressive things to completed worlds.. but when it comes to actually creating a new project he sucks. He got mad and quit Mana Realms because we wanted him to script an item editor and said it was "too beneath him" and the fact we wanted the edit boxes for the attributes to be dynamic and not show all of them even if they werent used for that type of item :rolleyes:

As for those people being the best GS2 scripters.. I think you are VERY wrong about that. Hell.. Skyld is far better at scripting than any of those people there.. let alone several other #gscript frequenters.

I'd say Skyld too, Yen is also very good though. Jake also helps me alot and shouldn't go un-noticed.

Nah I know him pretty well I guess. I know how notorious he is for wanting camshows, and he used to always ask me if I had one and if I didn't to get one. But I've gotten him to help me many times without the use of a webcam =/

You wanted little novelties. When you make systems for staff, you don't have to make it incredibly simple to understand. Staff are supposed to be a bit smarter than the average player.

Don't bash on people, you probably couldn't even tell what a timeout does, nor could you do half the things Yen does before bashing on someone make sure they don't own you first. :redface:

Eh, Zodiac was one of the first few playerworlds I worked on, when I started I worked on Enigma for a while little while after I quit graal for a short time period came back started working on Zodiac as Events Team Administrator, got fired for multistaffing but that was no effect on me I was glad I did because I started praticing with scripts and now i'm a good scripter. :cool:

anyway...to get back on topic...

Zodiac is very boring, they get some good gfx in there everynow and then, but then they come up with some *** idea,....

i used to gat there...USED TO...then one day i just stopped showing up...and there staff is corruptthen again which playerworld's staff isn't?

Believe me, nobody was begging you to script on icarus, I provided everything needed. If i've never heard of you, I doubt madj has heard of you either, and any staff who would have wanted you working there obviously didn't have the power. Don't tell lies about people wanting to hire you, because I would have known about it. The only other scripter they were contemplating hiring was Velox. Nobody who worked there was important aside from madj, lance, hachi, and me.

In my eyes, Zodiac is just yet another Maloria-wannabe. But what do I know, I dont play the server.

If you wanna play like that, Maloria is a Providence wannabe.
Actually, it is a Providence wannabe; Worry modeled it after Providence, when Providence went down.

Anyway, Zodiac's systems (which took me THREE days to script) are basically 'New Maloria's' systems, but better. And sadly, it's taking them months to script what I made in three days.

I just based my oppinion on that a while ago (ages ago), Zodiac were using several Maloria graphics.

I dunno, it isnt fair to bash on other playerworlds scripting talent when you either do it a diffrent way or just maybe happened to have some stuff laying around which was similar but maybe near incomplete that you just finished up in 3 days.

Besides, Maloria has been on classic tab again now for how long? They have a reason to be taking some time.

You're pretty much living in a hole with earmuffs on if you've never heard of Yen.

You work on Aeon. Do you actually expect me to believe anything that comes from a server that was built on lieing and stealing others content? If someone from aeon thinks he's good, he must be awful.

Don't lie, we've complained to the globals many times from you guys stealing graphics from Atrius, Icarus, and whatever other servers we were developing, ALL the time.

Man, there should be some rule not to slander worlds, like in the Playerworld Staff Hirings forums.

Anyways, Zodiac looks nice. I like how it's nation competition, rather than just some RPG with the basic features, like most RPG games online now. Good luck to the project, it looks nice! You all should apply for Classic sometime. ;);)
