Platformer project stopped
 

Ok well, sorry zeph for making another thread lol
Ive decided to not make the platformer, ill probably back the files up for another time, sorry if some were looking forward to it.

Aye, same here. The most promising projects I've seen as of recent have all falled through :P

And this would be server failure #? llol but yea..come help us out with bab or somthin.

Did you find the project idea interesting and did you think it would be a decent addition to the Graal public server list?

I'm a little depressed, but not too much, because DR was going to (and will anyway) have some gravity levels, and I think all servers have a gravity spar/race (Including DR). DR will be employing gravity into quests however, and therefore on DR there will have a few levels in 'platformer' style. These will include puzzle sovling. Actually, there's going to be some cool changes to DR, but I won't report them here.
Anyway, it's too bad you didn't do this. It looked really good.

It's unfortunate I had to hear about it this way Tom, but please make sure when you finish backing up your files you remove the people you've hired for the project from RC, I'll be back in town at my laptop in a few more days.

Tom... Why start a project and end it a day or two later? Just because your scripter was too stupid to make AI?

So why is it canned? You made like a half dozen posts about the server and then just quit it without any explanation?

If it's scripting enemy AI, I'd imagine that would be easier to do in a sidescrolling game.

That and and good scripters would be more than happy to join the cause. Or is it that...GASP, IS TOM LAZY?!

Haha... yes, because all online 2D platformer games are ripoffs of "somethingstory".

Graal would do well to have a platformer server... it would bring more variety to Graal.... that's pretty much what Stefan wants it seems, with his liking of GK and Zone which are a lot different from what Graal originally was.

Heck, I'd like to see a platformer, a beat-em up, a racer, some sports thing, a card game type server... all sorts of stuff. I just wish playerworld renters were more original.

No, I'm lazy. This is the fifth(?) server I've helped Tom develop, and it's getting a bit old. I'm not getting payed, so there's no motivation for me. I need a break first.

We'll finish it some other time. Promise.

It's not stopped forever :P its just stopped for now whilst Yen recharges, and it wont be rapid development like i was planning :)

But it will be here sometime, maybe even by suprise, woopar.
