Suggestions and glitch report for Guild Wars
Please feel free to add any glitches or suggestions to improve the new planet Guild Wars.
Glitches Mech If you are in a mech and happen to come across another mech. You obviously will have to fight. However, winning is not necessarily a good thing. When you fight another mech and win, the opponent will die from blowing up. Yet, when you manage to defeat him, your mech will dissappear and you will notice you can no longer move. Somehow the client still registers you as in the mech. The only way to break free is to use a jetpack to fly around and hopefully find someone kind enough to shoot away your mechs HP. If your mechs HP is depleted while you are still stuck in the glitch it will disappear (Obviousy), but leave you free. [FIXED] Grenade Launcher Upon firing a grenade, the grenade itself will freeze you and/or your teammates until the explosion goes away. No idea why, but it would help tremendously if people are not killed by mechs while being frozen by a teammates grenade. Mechs in tents I've found out how you do it. Yes, the mech cannot get into the tent directly, but if you keep walking infront of it from left to right while pushing forwards, you will make it behind a section of the tent NPC and enter the warp field into the tent. Meaning poor straglers at the end trying to camp out in a tent are going to find themselves crushed by big metal feet. [FIXED] Reapers in lavacave Reapers come under the melee tab, yet they have the ability to shoot and slash. Meaning, when entering the lava caves, people with reapers are able to shoot the poor opponents with just combatknives etc. Unbalanced Teams 1 round I played it was 1 alpha vs 26 Betas. The script of making teams balanced needs to be introduced. Entering the Dropship No big deal. But when you enter the dropship, it still says "Zone Wars Dropship" instead of "Guild Wars Dropship". [FIXED] Sabres It's weird. Worse clientside lag I've seen if it IS clientside lag. The opponents seem to kill you with 100 health points when they are slashing the completely opposite direction to where you are. Needs to be looked over and taken care of. Suggestions Turrets People who die and have to wait for the next round get extremely bored. I overheard Stefan talking about controls for the turrets on the dropship. It will probably be put in, then, anyway. But this is just to let you know. Observation Mode It has been discussed before, but Stefan was also talking about the idea brought up about the large TV displaying the match. Which can be watched by people who have died during that round. If any of you have any comments or critisizm on the glitches or suggestions, please do so. <3 |
Suggestions from moi
Lavagun: Should be able to get more ammo, fire effect and be able to be used in Lavacaves because it can't match anything else. Dart Gun: Should be made 2 handed or placed in the rifle category (like crossbow) Mech's: Should be removed, or limited area where are useable. |
Grenade launcher: the grenades on the ground are blocking, should that be changed?
Team balance: there is team balance when you select a team for the first time, but when you don't die then you can stay in the team, so when people don't switch teams then it can get unbalanced after some time; simpliest solution would be to reset the teams of all players after each round, although then your E stats are reset Turrets: could probably auto-aim at enemies |

Suggestion:
A spar room that you can go to from the waiting room. There's a good bit of time to wait between matches and it can get a bit boring waiting. Maybe create a spar room of some sort where players can go while they wait for a new round or something. |

Fix the turrets. When a player gets on one, he/she can be pulled away and will become invisable, but the player gfx will still show up as him/her on the turret, and they can still fire the turret. I ran into this problem yesterday, i kept shooting the guy but he wouldn't die, then when i looked on radar i figured out what he had done, and blew him up with a grenade. Mechs. These are way over powered for the map, they are faster than anyclass, and have way to much hp. The only way to get away from these things is to hope that you make it to the cave before being trampled to death. Maybe slow them down and make them have 150 hp. |

Reapers are fine, they finally have a place where they don't completely suck. They have bullets, yes, but they are very short range and a very long refire time.

Suggestion #2: This is in case the spar room idea doesn't pan out. It could also be good for some of the other world's waiting area's as well. Anyway how about an arcade or virtual reality room in the waiting area? Could have like a lot of little mini-games in it...such as Metris or whatever else.

Where to start...
1st of all other glitches 1.(not im sure Most of you arent aware of this and dont go abusing it ya hear lol) if you are flying over water u can simply switch weaps(in air) to a two handed weap or replace your jet pack and u will land in the water(alive) ~ also 50% chance of when u try to fly out u blow up 2.Death/life glitch if you die while teleporting to lavacaves u are killed and brought back to life agian -_- u should make it more like a cave entrance and make it a "door" script like on ice. with the base 1 entrance(not a teleporter) plus it would make more sence 3. I HATE THIS GLITCH, tent glitch if you go in and out of a tent REALLY fast you get glitched into blackness, this is a problem, ppl can easily lame and cant get hit here, plus if they use the Mech+tent glitch they can glitch Mechs in ther -_- 4.(not sure) I have seen Normal Players with No Team for some reason, only seen a few but it should be looked into 5. a kinda funny problem... its called guild wars but it Cant Support guilds for events lol that should be fixed =P(as im sure u already know) ----- Now, if you cant wait (spar idea) just go to spar planet or dm or something it will say at bottem of screen \/\/\/a new round of Guild Wars is about to begin(or w/e) Lava gun: You should be able to buy Lava gun ammo(for some reason it should be goo ammo since its the same type of weap) but noo im sure that wouldnt make much sence lol, so instead why not use Flame thrower ammo? =o Reapers in lavacave: Yes lmao I mean sabre does what 40-60 dmg like in zone wars? reaps onyl do like 20-40(I think) its perfectly fair I actually perfer sabre over reapers so dont be removin em(they are good agnst knives =P) Mechs: Mechs should have like 150-200 hp instead of 300 or w/e they got now, ther lasers should be toned down a lil I think that would make it fair, other than that leave em... Disabling Mechs: now truely I think every class should have Electrons, it only seems fair it would easily balance mech rampages Turrets: now as you all know I was lame king with speeder lol now Turrets are Way too sensitive when you try to turn them if you want to get a percise aim you have to tap it, just make it turn as fast as the old speeder guns did(on zone wars) that'll make em better. Also adding 1-2 by the tents would be nice lol Score boards: one last thing lol Blasters/turrets and maybe lava gun need a high score board =) not sure if they were ment to be left out or not =P ~DS :asleep: (I bet I killed this topic with so much text...) ~~Edit: now speeder bikes are almost useless(unless u know how to use em lol) but I hardly ever see an engeneer using them, so why not allow Scouts to use them too? |

Ok So we should:
- add electron to more classes ? (done, added to scout and medic) - make lava put you on fire once you step on it? - allow bikes to the scout class? (done) - let turrets shoot more bullets or be auto-aiming ? (done) - make those explosions non-blocking (done) - not let mechs enter the tents (done) - stop teleporting if you are killed while doing it (done) Some more: - added /warpgwars1/2 commands for events team - converted links on Iricia and Guild Wars to npc links, which should make glitching through them harder - also you can throw pipebombs, tazebombs and gas grenades through doors to surprise the people waiting on the other side Please tell me if the turrets are too strong now. |

You should also add the "throwing bombs through doors" to iracia (artic). :)
And maybe an Event thing for artic as well. (for the event team) like; /setarticteams Guild,All /setarticteamcount 2 (would make it the normal artic teams (sweep,and storm) ) /addtoteam teamname,accname /addtoguild guildname,accname (would only allow that person to fight with that guild for 1 round) /setheal accname /addtospar accname,accname just some thoughts ;o |
I won't be satisfied till Lavagun gets better.

I would completely give up Catholicism and start a new religion (Stefanism) if you would just put the new weapons on the other maps :[

For the last time, The whole Escape button thing is a GLOBAL ACTION. I'm pretty sure it can't be fixed for Zone only.

Why not just add a delay between pressing esc and having the screen come up. Like you have to not move for 2.5+ seconds for it to exit.
