New Computer, New Error
i try to download graal and when i hit Run it says
Executive 'C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\RFLTT996\Graal4Setup[1].exe' had the following unrecover error: Couldn't find library MSVCR80.dll Please Ensure that it is installed |
Try saving it to somewhere rather than just running it.

That message means you have a bugged installation of Visual Studio, Office or other Microsoft programs using .Net. You need to correctly uninstall or reinstall them. Some people reported that problem before, it's not directly related to Graal (since Graal is not using msvcr80.dll). See http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=62427

So weird. |
What O/S are you using cauase i know with my new pc that came with x64windows graal will sometimes give me a dll error and then debug itself; Does this always occur or only sometimes; Also i here Windows Media Edition has some errors try uninstalling your .net architechture and get the latest version (google it: .NET Download or dotnetfx.exe) Also try doing a Windows Update sometimes Windows can fix something and not break it also try runing a SP2 version of your O/S if possible it may not be a .DLL error more as a Dependency missing that a SP or Update has.

I'm having this problem as well from a recently reformatted computer.
I have attempted to solve this by reinstalling the .NET 2.0 Framework and by collecting as many of the MSVCR80.dll's I could find. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do to solve the problem. Using different MSVCR80.dll's I managed to get a few error boxes, hope they might be of some help (attached). I think it's in your hands, Stefan. |
well i uninstalled all the .net microsoft **** n it still aint workin
|
Like I said that error probably comes from an incorrect uninstallation, so you would need to reinstall the stuff. I don't even have .net or that mentioned library on my developer computer so you can be sure that it is has nothing to do with Graal. Some of your system libraries are bugged and need to be fixed by correctly uninstalling or reinstalling the .net framework or the mentioned programs.

damn i guess i rretire for good then`
|
Have you tried to install it again (.net)?
|
Thanks to the immense knowledge of GrowlZ, I was able to solve this problem by uninstalling Windows Defender. If you're still around, try that, X-Mann. Hopefully Stefan will fix the problem in the next update though.
|
Like I said Graal cannot really fix problems with your computer that are not related to Graal (and you would not like it to do that). Good that you found the problem though
|
yea that worked but now i forgot my damn password how the hell
